Chapter 12 - Twelve Enchantments

The next day I came back to the guild after school with Lilin, Beph, and Lena. I told them to look for some easy quests we might be able to do over the weekend, then I went back to the smithy to find Herrero. When I came into the smithy I heard the sound of hammering metal. I figure I could just wait for him in the front of the shop, so I start looking around at all the weapons and armor. There wasn't that much around, I guess because he would probably make it once he got a commission. While I was waiting around I hear the door jingle and a slight cough before

"Hello? Excuse me." a female voice rings out

I come to the front just to see who it is. Beautiful golden blonde hair peeks out of a brown hooded cloak, that doesn't really seem to match the wearer. "Anne?!?" I say surprised when I realize who it is standing before me.

She pulls off her hood, the golden blonde hair falls to her shoulders and stormy gray-blue eyes stare back at me. "Shhh Wats, around here I'm called Kiers, I'm trying to register to become an adventurer, also what are you doing here?

"I came by because the smith said he can teach me about enchantments and enhancing gear." I reply with a smile "By the way have you already registered as an adventurer?" I ask

"No, not yet."

"Then I can walk with you and help you, but why would the third imperial princess and niece of the lord of the area want to become an adventurer?" I ask, making sure to lower my voice when mentioning her position. I figured that if she didn't want me to call out her name she has a reason to not want to be recognized. Whispering to her inadvertently forced me to get closer to her, when I noticed her blushing I took a step back.

"Umm well..."

"It's okay if you don't want to or can't talk about it," I say, noticing her slightly uncomfortable look. "I'll introduce you to Guilla, and my party. They are probably deciding on our first quest right now." I continue

"Um sure that would be nice. Thanks." Princess Anne says

"Yeah no problem, it's always easier when you have someone you know by your side," I say to try and ease her tension. "Besides I think Herrero will be busy for a bit, I'll help you register and then come back to do what I was supposed to."

I walk her to the registration area and introduce her as Kiers, a prospective adventurer with decent talent to Guilla. They go into Guilla's office for a few minutes and Princess Anne aka Kiers comes out holding a green adventurer card with the title mage. Then I take her to find Beph, Lilin, and Lena. It took a few minutes but they found me first.

"Wats! I thought you were going to the smithy to learn about enchantments and enhancing?" Lilin comes up to me

"And who is that next to you?" Beph asked quietly

"We narrowed down a few possibilities and registered as a party." Lena comes up and adds bouncing

"Hey guys, I would like to add Kiers here to our party. She is a green-level adventurer just registered and an elemental mage. Kiers, these are my sisters, Beph, Lilin, and Lena." I say introducing and pointing out each person when I say their name.

"It's nice to meet you all. I am Kiers, I'll be in your care." Princess Anne introduces herself politely

"Ok, I'm going to head back to the smithy now. I'll probably be a little late so you guys can go without me after you guys choose a quest and get to know each other a bit. Just let me know what you guys pick. Ok see you" I say and head back towards the smithy.
