Chapter 38 Arriving in Capitol City Humana

We all stayed over at the estate, and Aunty Cleione and Teacher helped provide everything we needed. I offered to pay them back but they refused, aunty Cleione even joked that I should save the money for the many engagement rings I'll need to buy. She isn't wrong though since I now have three fiancees. The girls wanted to talk about something without me so I went out to the armory. I find an oak staff that hasn't been enchanted and engrave the [soul/life increase] magic circle I came up with into it. I'll give this staff to Lilin as an engagement present for her to increase her blessing and healing magic. I go to the practice field by the armory and test it out using plant magic and blessing magic. I find that the enhanced wooden staff increases the potency of the magic by about 7.5 times. Probably because the majority of the staff is made of the catalyst material on top of the enhancement I put on it. I put the staff into my infinite storage bracelet then head back to the house. I decided to check my account just to see if Herrero deposited the money from his artifact sales. It's been a while since I have actually checked my account but I had 5 gold, 3 silver, 6 gem, and 2 copper bittels in my account last time I checked so if Herrero deposited my percentage I should have 13 platinum, 24 gold 1 silver, 1 gem, and 2 copper bittels. However, to my surprise, my account information showed way more than that. I had 26 platinum, 22 gold, 8 silver,4 gem, 2 copper, and 4 iron bittels in my account. I thought maybe I had signed into the wrong account so I look at the transaction history. I see that the latest transactions are all deposits one of which is 13.75 platinum which was Herrero depositing my portion. When I look closer at the other deposits, they are all from different places but all labeled the same thing. 'Fyreed Tax', which probably means that researchers and institutions are already paying to use my research on the concept tie formations. Well duh if every spell circle has the universal tie formation that I wrote about, people aren't going to try to wait for limited releases within the next five years in order to avoid paying the fyreed tax, it would be cheaper to just develop the magic circles using the concept ties, and pay the relatively small tax. I mean, if companies were really that worried about it, greedy people would try to aim for my life instead. I think to myself. I then log out from the bank site and go to bed.

I awoke early before the sun rose and checked the supplies I had prepared. The chef had even prepared rations from extra earthen warty pig meat. The trip today will only take six hours or so, therefore after breakfast, I don't think I'll really need the rations, but it is always good to be prepared. I also checked the staff I had enhanced for Lilin last night.

After we all woke up we ate breakfast together in the dining room. We then had a little bit of time to make some last-minute preparations. I went out to the practice field and called Regulus and Cal.

"Good morning Darling!" Anne came out and cheerfully greeted me before lightly kissing my cheek, making me blush a little and smile. She was wearing casual clothes and had the [warp] dagger strapped to her thigh. Leigha then brings out a large trunk and a couple of smaller suitcases.

"What's all the luggage for?" I ask casually

"Well, I honestly don't know how long we'll be there, plus room for presents coming back. Too much?" She answered before batting her eyes up at me. She is so cute.

"No, I can fit it in my infinite storage. What about your adventuring gear?" I ask back

"I have the [warp] dagger on me, my armor and other equipment are in the trunk." She cheerfully responds. She then gets really close and whispers, "among some other items that we may use." Anne really is in high spirits, which makes sense she is going home for the first time in months. "Also, I have packed the staff you gave me, as I intend to show my mother and father it as an engagement present from my Darling before I use it." She adds, seeing me look around for it.
