Chapter 22 New Party Members

After the excitement in spirit/mind magic studies, I couldn't really focus on elemental magic studies. We were told to pair up and practice with our elements. Since we were both new and both of us can use all elements I paired up with Princess Anne. We asked the teacher to go to the practice gym, and she gave us a pass to go. We practiced different elemental combinations using our (dual casting). We taught each other a few different combinations that we were able to learn, and class time passed really quickly. We went back to class right before the bell rang to get our stuff.

Princess Anne and I were the first to arrive by the gate as the elemental studies room is the closest. Since we share all our classes except spirit/mind magic studies she asked me how that class was.

"It was cool. I have to show everyone something so I'll wait till everyone is here to tell you about it" I answer her with a huge grin.

"Alright" She answers

Next came Lena, followed by Lilin. Finally, Cara showed up.

"Since everyone is here shall we get going? I have something to show you guys. Well Cara already knows..." I say

"Wait, I asked one other person to meet us." Cara interrupts

"Ohh okay?" I ask a bit confused. I see Circe coming towards us and wave to her thinking she would just slightly wave back but she came right up to us.

"Everyone this is Circe Angelo, she's in Wats and my spirit/mind magic studies class. I invited her." Cara introduces her to the group. "Circe, this is my cousin Kiers, Lilin, and Lena. You already have met Wats in class today." She turns to Circe and introduces everyone.

"It's nice to meet all of you." Circe greets everyone

"Okay, now that everyone is here I have something to show you guys," I say excitedly

"Can it wait until we get to the estate or at least the guild?" Lena asks

"Nope...." I say trying to be mysterious. I summon Cal which surprises Circe but everyone else has seen Cal before.

"Cal isn't really a surprise to show us nii-san" Lena begins to grumble

I pull out the feather of Regulus and activate the [beast mark]. After a few seconds, I hear Regulus screech. He then circles around us and lands.

"Guys this is Regulus," I say gesturing to the sonic sabertooth gryphon that just landed. Everyone except Cara and Circe's face dropped in surprise. After they calmed down I introduce everyone to Regulus again. I felt competitiveness from him and Cal so I thought of an idea. "Today Regulus and Cal will have a race to the guild. Kiers and Lilin will Ride Cal. Cara and Lena will you guys be willing to ride Regulus?" I announce and ask everyone

"Umm, what about me?" Circe asks quietly

"You are with me, someone needs to get to the starting line first to see who wins," I say smiling

"Huh what do you mean? How can you beat them?" Circe asks bewildered

"You'll see," I answer. Then I help Lilin and Anne onto Cal, and Cara and Lena onto Regulus. I then turn to each of them. "Both of you try hard but I will not forgive you if anything happens to these girls okay" I warn them. "The finish line will be the field by Herrero's shop. All of you know how to get there.?"

""""Yes"""" the four of them answered in unison

"On your mark, get set, GO!" I announce Cal gets a running start and takes off, Regulus beats his wings for a bit before finally taking to the sky.
