After that, I said my farewells to the parents of Nana and Eiko. The rest of us all head over to where I already carved the ritual circle for the {realm gate}. This is an old battlefield from the devil lord wars and is rich with excess soul energy, not a bad place to conduct a ritual to travel to a different realm. I had spent all of yesterday carving out the ritual circle, Iris helped for part of it until she had to go to the Fyreed Order Council meeting.

"The Realm of Destruction energy most closely resembles combat-type soul energy, so I'll need Dragonia, Yami, Hikari, and Colna to channel your combat-type soul energy into the magic circle. Everyone else, like last time, will channel their soul energy into me, also Iris I want you on standby." I announce

"Babydoll, why should I be on standby I have as much or more soul energy as the others?" Iris says pouting slightly

"Because you are the only other soul mage. I'm trusting you to monitor the other's conditions, also if it looks like the ritual circle needs more combat energy you will tell Dragonia when to transform into her true dragon form." I explain.

"Okay babydoll, but don't you dare die, or use up all your soul energy..." Iris says pouting. The others all agree

I then bring out Devil Lord Belphene's stick and start pouring my combat soul energy through it and activating the ritual circle. I feel the compacting pulling force and a rift of swirling red and black appears before me. I step inside and instantly get pulled further in. I close my eyes until I feel myself stop. When I open my eyes I am standing in front of a beautiful young succubus woman with light blue hair and black eyes.

"Ahh Viscount Wats Resero Magias, have you thought about my offer of a deal?" The young woman asks curiously

"Devil Lord Belphene?" I ask, astonished. She looks nothing like she did last time I tried talking to her.

"Yes. Why do you look so surprised?" Devil Lord Belphene asks

"Well, you look completely different than last time. I get being able to change your age appearance since Yami and Hikari can do the same but the appearance of your race as well?" I ask confused

"Oh right, I forget that lower realmers can not change appearance due to their souls actually being tied to their body." Devil Lord Belphene sighs. She then looks at me and her appearance shifts to resemble Eiko perfectly but with light blue hair and deep black eyes. "There, is that better? I believe you are more familiar with this appearance." Devil Lord Belphene says lazily.

I have to remind myself that she isn't really Eiko, but Devil Lord Belphene. I close my eyes and count to 10 in order to calm myself. Eiko's remaining soul energy is linked to my soul, and I can feel everyone else's soul energy pouring into me. It calms me down a bit and I manage not to break down.

"I'm sorry, I should have realized that this appearance is someone you feel guilty about, I will change." Devil Lord Belphene says tenderly

I open my eyes, "No, no it's fine. Actually, that appearance may help me to face my guilt and fear. Though how did you know I would feel guilty?" I ask shakily

"Well, it is a part of our deal that I teach you everything I know about soul sins. First off you should know that there are multiple realms. Each realm has sections that interact with corresponding sections of the other realms. Think of it as a pyramid of cards. Each layer represents a realm, while each card represents a section. Each section of an upper realm is supported by multiple sections of a lower realm. Each section of realms has a balance between virtues and vices. Soul sins can gain power through energy used in actions in the lower realm. This energy is accumulated and passed on, however, each time it is passed on it releases anywhere from 10-75% of the accumulated energy, mostly to the host's soul. However, this is still better than letting the accumulated energy run wild in the lower realms because the released energy can be quickly absorbed since it is no longer contained in a soul/soul vessel.
