After a couple of weeks things finally slowly began to return to normal. Iris was a part-time teacher looking after the life/soul magic as well as magic practice classes. She and Miria had become quick friends, and I could see Iris faintly smiling when she interacted with Miria. I also stepped up and taught more lessons as well as started attending lessons for the nature courses. Since Lilin and Lena were now Fyreed Order of Nature fifth class, some teachers would ask them certain things. Luckily when they didn't know the answers I could look up relevant information with my KORA-card and terminal, but I still couldn't get any more hints on channeling from higher realms.

One day a guest lecturer who was a Fyreed Order of Nature second class came to give a series of guest lectures in Natural Theory. Apparently ever since the parade Director Justo has been using our names to get famous researchers, and powerful dignitaries to come and give lectures in some of the courses. This time he convinced someone from the Eastern Elves to come to give a series of lectures in the nature course.

"Good afternoon students, my name is Amarys Nikko. I am from the tribe of Long Ears, or more commonly known as the Eastern Elves to you in the empire. I am a Naturalist, or a member of the Fyreed Order of Nature, and my soul skill is black level nature type [sunlight]." Amarys introduces herself. She looks like a grandmother in her 60s. She had long light green hair mixed with sections of gray, sharp upturned brows, deep blue eyes, faint green skin, and long pointed ears. She carried herself with elegance and poise, a perfectly straight back and a dark green business suit, she gave off the impression of a strict grandma.

We said our greetings back to her and her eyes found me sitting in the back. "Viscount Magias, it is a surprise to see you here," Amarys said curiously. Everyone in the room turned to look at me, surprise was obvious on most of their faces that I was there.

"Please don't mind me, I came to learn more about nature-type soul skills, and some of the developing theory behind them," I answer calmly meeting Amarys' gaze.

"Well, what exactly do you currently know about nature-type soul skills?" Amarys asks sternly. I get the feeling that she doesn't like me, even though I don't recall ever doing anything to piss her off. Maybe she thought that she would only be teaching nature-type soul skill holders and doesn't like the idea that me, a mage, is sitting in her class, I wonder to myself.

"I'm sorry, my knowledge of nature-type soul skills is limited. I know that there are beings known as spiritai and that nature-type soul skill holders can control spiritai and give them a part of their soul energy to enact certain phenomena. The higher their soul skill level the more spiritai they can control. Their soul skill is the designated command or change that they ask of the spiritai. There are different types of spiritai and people with nature type soul skills can only control certain ones related to the changes that they ask for." I answer politely

I notice that most of the class is staring at me, or flicking their gazes back and forth between me and Amarys. Amarys breaks into a slight smile and her strict demeanor softens just a tiny bit. "I thought you said your knowledge was limited. However, what you just explained is an advanced understanding of nature-type soul skills. However, you are wrong in two major ways. The first is that we do not control the spiritai, we cooperate with them to enact changes. The second is that we do not give them part of our soul energy, we actually link with them and share our energy, releasing it in order to enact phenomena. In fact, I believe that the spiritai that we as people typically interact with are actually the lowest-ranked spiritai and that there is a hierarchy above them. More powerful spiritai that govern over certain things in nature." Amarys explains
