Chapter 16 (lock) and Higher Magic

On my way there, I'm stopped by Culo Asinus.

"Resero, my dad was fired because of you!" Culo shouts.

"Your dad? How the hell did I get him fired?" I ask

"My dad was guard captain for the Maquis' estate, It's your fault that he was fired!" Culo angrily shouts at me. He then begins to charge at me, a surge of energy coming off his body. He must have activated his soul skill [berserker]. Talking to him in that state would serve no purpose, so I dodge his charge. I then cast red-level chaos magic [reflect]. He charges into the magic and shatters right through it. I dodge his charge again. This time I cast red level time magic [slow speed] along with red level gravity magic [increase] using (dual casting). However, Culo's energy swells again and my magic is broken. I see so [berserker] not only increases physical power, it radiates energy to the magic that it touches. I would need something to match or exceed his power. The problem is that he has a gold class skill. My pseudo combination magic {crystal wall} which combines green [glacial freeze] and green [iron walls] spells may stop him but that would cause a lot of damage to the school. I keep dodging his charges but it gets harder and harder, he keeps getting faster and more powerful.

Culo finally is able to catch up to me, and at the last second before he hit me I cast green level chaos magic [dispersion]. There is some resistance to Culo's fist but it still breaks through my magic and sends me flying. I loudly crash by the registrar's office. Cara comes out with her schedule as I slam into the office.

When Culo in [berserker] mode notices Cara, his energy output increases even more, and he seems to get even angrier. I guess he can recognize that Cara is the daughter of Marquis Richards.

"Wats?! What is going on, who is that?" Cara asks, seeing me crumpled.

I stand up and get in front of Cara without a word, to try to protect her. And Culo begins to charge again. I bite my lip to focus myself. However, my vision is already starting to fade from that hit. But, I have to protect Cara from Culo's rampage. I circulate my soul energy and mana as body reinforcement. Then I draw in as much energy as possible before I build a spell circle.  I don't know any gold or blue level spell that might be able to stop Culo's rampage. Even if I did I don't know if I could cast it in time. Suddenly I get a headache, in my inner world, my [unlock] skill is flashing. I activate it and a new derivative skill appears surrounded in black. Misc type black class derivative skill (lock). I activate (lock), opening my eyes and guiding it towards the charging Culo.

Culo then stops, dead in the middle of his charge. To me, it looks like countless black chains wrap around him and chain him in place. I realize that I can control these chains. I form a cage with some of the chains before tightening some of the other chains, bringing Culo to his knees. The chains absorb the energy he is releasing and get stronger. Then I see a golden blue light from within Culo shine. That must be his soul skill. I have a chain wrap around that glowing light and the light starts to fade as the imaginary chain wraps tighter and tighter. I choose to pour a little bit of energy into the lock and I instinctively know it will last about a week. However, my vision seems to get a little blurry again. The Golden blue glow fades with the energy coming from Culo's body. When the chains seem to disappear, Culo is kneeling with sweat beads coming down his forehead. He looks drained, and I feel like I'm going to pass out. I probably have a few broken bones, and maybe some internal damage.

"What the hell happened, I'm not supposed to lose unless I get overpowered with my skill activated?!?" Culo is muttering. He then slumps over fainting.

"Wats, what happened, who is that, why did he try to attack us?" Cara asked multiple questions.

I turn to her, sweat also dripping from my brow, blood trickling from where I bit down and I'm wheezing from the previous hit. "Cara are you alright?.... Culo...Asinus, gold... combatant [berserker], father... fired guard captain estate. blames me fo..." I could hardly manage to convey part of the message before everything goes black.
