I was shocked to have Gabrielle as a fiancee but she seemed happy with the arrangement, so I just hope that I can continue to make her happy. After the audience with Emperor Bantran, I left the girls to talk with him and the rest of the royal family. I followed Iris through the palace to a hidden stairwell. We then descended, and walked for a while, the whole time Iris was just silent. Finally, we came to a large door. "This is the hall of the Fyreed Order, of the city of Humana. There are other halls throughout the continent and are all connected to each other by space magic. The key for the entrances as well as the hall is your Fyreed Medal." Iris explains before bringing her Fyreed medal to the door. "Different levels and halls can be accessed based on the class of the Fyreed Mage. As a Fyreed Order Mage, First-class you can go anywhere except locations designated for Fyreed Sages." Iris boredly continues to explain

"Yeah, and the last Fyreed Sage was the Great Solomon Roman Wiser, who founded the Humana Kingdom that eventually became the Humana empire," I answer excitedly

"He was the last Fyreed Sage that was recorded as a mage, yes." Iris answers flatly

"Wait, there have been Fyreed Sages that weren't recorded?" I ask confused

"There might have been," Iris answers nonchalantly. She then guides me around the Fyreed Order hall and then leads me to a huge door. "This is the entrance to the Fyreed Order Archives. Since the Fyreed Order itself has no specific allegiance to any one country it is said to be the most complete history in the world. There are many different sections and topics of research are not only limited to magic. In fact, the Fyreed Order has branches/factions for all types of soul skills, though you might know the titles as different things, they are all still elite groupings of people connected to the Fyreed Order." Iris explains calmly

"What are the titles bestowed on people with other soul skills?" I ask back curiously. I have a few ideas because there are certain high titles bestowed on people for great achievements like the Order of Knights.

"I'm sure you have heard of the Order of Knights," Iris says plainly

"Yes, of course, it is a title for Combatants and very skilled commons that make significant contributions in war, combat, subjugation, and hunting," I answer

"The Order of Knights is the combat side of the Fyreed Order, whereas we are the Mage side dealing with advancements and research of magic. Though rarer, there is the Order of Nature, which deals with advancements of nature soul skills, conservation, or even natural disasters. Then there is the Order of Societal Scholars, which are mostly commons who focus on improving society, and humanitarian efforts. Though that is mostly awarded posthumously." Iris explains

"What about people with Misc. type skills?" I ask curiously

"Since Misc-type skills are already quite rare, they can join the Fyreed Order based on whatever their achievements allow I guess. I mean, the different sides of the Fyreed Order are based on accomplishment anyway, they aren't limited to specific soul skill types, just specific types of accomplishments." Iris explains flatly

"I see. So what kind of mage are you?" I ask curiously

"I have two magic-type soul skills. Gold level [soul/life manipulation] as well as a blue level [earth manipulation]. My Fyreed Order entrance was granted as Fyreed Order Mage fourth class for work in soul/life magic as a healer. I then got granted third class for work in earth magic, then second class for multiple works in both categories." Iris explains flatly

"I see. Congratulations." I say awkwardly

"Ehh," she responds then turns and opens the doors to the archives. I gasp at the sight of the Fyreed Order archives. We were standing on the outer edge of a huge round chamber with rows upon rows of books, records, scrolls, and reading tablets. The archives were separated into four distinct different sections. "The archives are broken into sections for each faction of the Fyreed Order. The closer to the center of the archives you go the higher class you have to be to pass. At the center of the archives is the entrance to the Vault of Hidden truths. I can only take you as far as the edge of the second class section." Iris explains plainly. Iris is really pretty and very knowledgeable. If only she would show more expression than apathy or boredom I think she would be really beautiful I think to myself.
