Chapter 55 Facing Culo

After talking with the girls, Iris proceeded to link all of our souls with [soul bind]. She said that we will be linked for about a week, but I should confront Culo as soon as possible, to maximize the ability to draw soul energy from the others. I then said good night to the girls and went to bed.

I woke up feeling heavy, today I will have to confront Culo and fight him in order to separate him from my soul fragment. We are going early to help Gabrielle register for classes. I had called Director Justo for a favor to allow her to attend school with us.

We all chatted lightly on the way to school, but there was still quite a bit of tension due to knowing that I'll be facing off with Culo. When we got to school, there were no more people protesting and blocking the front entrance, I guess Director Justo was able to fully handle everything while we were gone. We walked inside and I helped Gabrielle find her way to the registrar's office.

"Dear, someone is watching us, I can feel it with my [detection]," Cara warned

"It's probably just someone curious about Gabrielle, or someone taken by the beauty of everyone," I say lightly

"Maybe, I can not sense any ill intent," Cara answers back quietly.

We wait for Gabrielle to register and pick classes. Director Justo also pulled some strings so that she is my homeroom along with Anne, Cara, and Lilin. I honestly don't know if I should be angry or grateful towards him doing that, but Gabrielle was so happy about it that I decided to let it slide.

The girls wanted to show Gabrielle around so I headed towards our class.

"Hey Wats you're back!" Chishiki greeted me enthusiastically

"Hey Chishiki, how you been?" I ask casually

"Well, there are some pretty big things that you missed while you were gone." He says broadly

"Ohh like what?" I ask back curiously

"Well first off, Culo is back. He is also gunning for you so I would be careful if I were you. Ms. Miria has accepted a position as a full teacher. We also have another guest teacher that is supposed to show up today. I hear she is very attractive, though that probably doesn't concern you. Also, We have another new transfer student, she will be in our class. And lastly, the protests at our school ended yesterday. Director Justo apparently cut a deal with someone, but at least we can get to the school building unhindered now." Chishiki exclaims excitedly.

I figured that Culo was back and gunning for me, that Miria had accepted the position, and that the transfer student is Gabrielle. The rest was news to me as well. "Honestly I knew about Culo, Miria, and the new transfer student. In fact, I know the transfer student." I answer back teasingly. I know that Chishiki loves hearing details that he couldn't get by himself.

"Oooh really, tell me please?" He said pleadingly

"Well her name is Gabrielle Artemesia," I say slowly

"Well is she attractive? What color are her eyes? How well do you know her? What is she like?" Chishiki rapidly asks questions

"Yes, she is attractive, one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen," I answer

"Hey you can't talk like that, you have Anne, and Cara, and Lilin, that is totally not being fair to your fiancees." Chishiki grumbles

"Actually it is being totally fair. Gabrielle is also my fiancee... I now have 5" I answer shyly
