The next day I awoke early before the sun rose and began preparing the horses and the carriages for travel. The plan is to continue traveling in the carriages with short breaks to stretch our legs. We plan to set up camp for the night by a cave about 5 hours north of Fortuna so that the girls can finish up their quests. They just need 2kg more of waxy belladonna root and three more giant sonic bats. Today we will be riding at a more leisurely pace with more breaks, I had suggested that we ride at the same speed as yesterday and get to the cave just after lunch but everyone except Prince Geordo disagreed, and wanted to have more breaks and travel comfortably.

After I helped prepare the horses and carriages, I brought out one of the giant bat carcasses from my infinite storage. I removed one of its wings and placed the rest of the carcass back into my infinite storage. I used fire magic and some life magic to remove the hollow bones and make the wing into workable leather. I then ground up some of the bones the way Herrero taught me while pouring mana into them. After I was done with that, I found Lieutenant Handy who was on guard, and told him that I was going to go into the forest for a little bit. He just nodded and insisted that I go armed just in case. I pulled out the sword and shield I had bought in Humana city and went into the forest. When I got fairly deep inside and the glow of our camp was barely visible I used green level earth magic [metal sense] as well as green level earth magic [mineral sense] to see if there was any metal or useful minerals around. What I found was that there was some iron and copper in the dirt. I then used gold-level earth magic [metallurgy] to draw the iron and copper particles together and drew them towards me. A small orb of iron forms in my right and a small orb of copper forms in my left hand. I put the two orbs into my infinite storage and I walk a little bit deeper into the forest and find a grove of heartbeat sturdy oak. I find a tree that is a decent size and use green level chaos magic [chaos slash] to chop it down and place it into my infinite storage. I then warp back to the edge of camp just as the sun begins to peak out in the east coloring the sky.

Lieutenant Handy had started cooking breakfast. I had a tent with Prince Geordo and Lieutenant Handy, and the girls were split up in the rest of the tents. Anne, Cara, Ciara, and Rei were in one, Circe, Colna, Lilin, and Lieutenant Corale were in the second one, and Beph, Lena, Gabrielle, and Iris were in the last tent. I went back to my tent and found that Prince Geordo had already left, I figured that he was probably practicing his swordsmanship again. Ever since I beat him in that duel he has been practicing a lot, last night he didn't even come into the tent until Bartumus woke up for his first guard shift. I told Rei and Iris to put me into the guard rotation so that they could get some rest, but they told me no, so it was Rei, then Lieutenant Costale, Iris, then Lieutenant Handy, and then repeated once through the night.

I decided to work on two wands for Iris. I pulled out part of the heartbeat sturdy oak I found and cut a workable piece using chaos magic. Before I can start carving out the magic formation for [life/soul increase] I hear someone outside my tent.

"Wakey wakey babydoll." I hear Iris say seductively

I quickly put away the materials for the wands. "I'll be right out, thanks Iris," I called out.

Iris then comes into the tent, wearing the formal robe of the Humana Court Mages, along with the gold sash denoting her as the head court mage and her Fyreed Order medal pinned on top. "Why are you all dressed up?" I ask curiously

"You like it?" Iris whispers seductively

"You look very nice, but why are you wearing the formal court mage attire?" I ask again

"Well if you think I should change, you should come over here and take it off me, babydoll," Iris says seductively. It looks like she wasn't joking that I would be releasing almost a century's worth of pent-up urges and emotions.
