Chapter 35 Presents and Another Engagement

After I had signed the licensing contract with Herrero I texted the rest of the party to see where they were. It seems everyone except Anne and Cara had gone home earlier, after all it was getting pretty late. I decide to walk Anne and Cara back to the estate.

I went to pick them up from the lounge. Anne was reading some news in a terminal while Cara was drinking tea and eating some sweets. I walk up to them "Would you guys be ready to leave soon?" I asked

"Huh? Oh Darling, yes I can go at any time?" Anne says after looking up from the terminal.

Cara takes another sip of tea and a bite of a small sweet before wiping her mouth. "I'm ready to go now as well"

"Shall we walk or teleport back to the estate today?" I asked

"Darling, walk of course." Anne answers back quickly

"Very well. May I ask why you guys always prefer to walk? You could be home in a split second if you wanted me to teleport us there?" I ask curiously

"Darling, you have a way to go to understand a girl's heart. Walking is the most intimate time we can spend with you" Anne says, smiling. She then raises up and kisses me on the cheek making me blush. I am still not used to being in a relationship.

Cara then lightly grabs my hand. I can feel the warmth and smoothness of her skin. "Shall we go? Mother and Father wish to speak with us when we get home," Cara warns. It's already pretty late because I took a while to make the two artifacts.

"Very well, let's not keep them waiting too long" I answer back to her

With that Anne comes up to my right side and grabs my arm. Like this, we walk out of the guild. Unlike last week no one stops us or tries to challenge me. I think it is because Anne revealed her identity and most people are afraid of the third imperial princess.

"So that was Viscount Magias?" a Burly male adventurer asked

"Yeah, though he also has the title in the guild as Golden Wolf King, and unofficially called the one mage army..." Another adventurer explained

"Pah, he looks like a kid. How can he be a blue-ranked adventurer? I bet it was his nobility that gave him his adventurer rank." The Burly adventurer said back

"No, the woman on his right is Princess Anne, and the woman on his left was Lady Cara. Both of them are in his party and only ranked as green adventurers, so it wasn't his nobility that got him his rank. I heard that he took on 50 green ranked adventurers alone on his first day registering with the guild"

"He did. Then for his party's first quest they were asked for 5 wolf pelts but killed 20, in less than a couple of hours. He doesn't ever admit it but his party members all say that he did the majority of it alone."

"Haha, if he is really so strong why form a party of a lower rank?"

"His entire party is made up of exceptional beauties, all except one registered after him."

"So he's just a sleazy playboy preying on girls that are weaker than him? That is unacceptable. I should defeat him and wake those poor girls of their stupor. I'll show them how little he must care for them to string them along just to show off, and if they should fall for my charms afterward well so be it."
