I awoke in a cot, in an unfamiliar tent, and I felt a strange weight on top of my body. When I looked down I was surprised to see two beautiful young girls sitting next to me with their heads on top of my stomach and chest sleeping. I shifted slightly and they began to wake up.

"Yami? Hikari? What's going on are we still in the realm of spiritai" I ask confused

"Hmm? Oh, morning Tether. No, we are in your world, your spell worked but you used a lot of soul energy and passed out." Yami says yawning and stretching like a cat

"TeeHee, we used our soul energy to help restore your soul energy Hubby!" Hikari cheerfully added

"Wait Tether? Hubby? What's going on?" I ask back even more confused

"Ahh Darling, you're awake. It seems that in order to be able to maintain their form and connection to the realm of spiritai they need to tether their soul energy to something of this world otherwise their soul energy will go rampant until they go back to the realm of spiritai. They chose you to be their tether, and have linked their souls with yours." Anne says calmly coming into the tent.

"It's not like I wanted you as my tether..." Yami mutters softly while blushing

"Teehee, you have a very strong soul and lots of soul energy, even though most of it appears to be sealed. We are both now umm, finances of yours as well" Hikari cheerfully adds

"Finances, you mean fiancees? I ask curiously looking at Anne

"Yeah about that, you apparently agreed to let them do whatever they want after helping with the situation of King Julien, and well they want you to be their connection to this world, and firmly insist on having the same status as the rest of us that are linked to your soul." Anne nervously says, looking back and forth between the two girls.

"Well I don't mind, I would gladly take two such beautiful spiritai as my companions and future wives but umm why choose me as a tether, from what I understand if your tether is damaged your ability to use your soul energy is greatly diminished, and if I die you die as well?" I ask turning to Yami and Hikari

"It seemed the most logical option at the time, it's not like I wanted to be linked with a lower realmer's short life, but you had the most amount of soul energy around," Yami states grumbling lightly

"TeeHee, because your soul is so pretty, and strong, but I don't want you to treat me like some kind of leech, so I want to be linked to hubby's soul as an equal to the others tied to your soul." Hikari giggles happily

"Well, I guess I should make it official with you two then," I say pulling out the box of soul rings and opened it towards the two girls. "You may each choose a ring to represent that we will spend our lives linked to each other's souls, a symbol of our promise."

The two girl's eyes light up. Hikari chooses the soul ring lined with moonstone and Yami picks the one lined with sunstone. I enchant [soul bind] linking our souls like with my other fiancees as well. When I do that I notice something strange about their souls. They each had three blank black level soul skill spots, so coming to this world they have the soul energy of three black level soul skills but haven't revealed them huh?

"You two, what do you know about soul skills in this world?" I ask curiously

"Umm, it's how lower realmers utilize their soul energy. The different types of soul energy inside a person manifest in different types of what you call soul skills. Spiritai energy manifests as nature soul skills. Creation energy manifests as personality soul skills. Destruction energy manifests as combat soul skills. Mana manifests as magic soul skills, and a mixture of all or divine energy can sometimes manifest as what you refer to as misc soul skills. Basically, the energy that leaks from the other realms is absorbed by the living things and when enough is gathered can manifest into soul skills. Am I right?" Yami gives a better explanation of what soul skills are than I could have
