After the girls came home Alfred came into the foyer with a big announcement. "Master, Mistresses the King of the Sylph Kingdom has just announced the date of his wedding to Princess Joan and invites all of you to attend. It will take place on the summer solstice in one month and be in the Capital City Humana. 3 days afterward will be the wedding of Prince Geordo and Lady Magias. Prince Geordo has also requested that Viscount Magias serve as his groomsman. How shall I respond?"

"Tell them both that we will all be there, and Yes I would be honored to serve as Prince Geordo's groomsman," I answer

"Princess Anne, you are also requested to be a bridesmaid for Princess Joan," Alfred states turning to Anne.

"Of course I accept," Anne says excitedly

"And Lady Rei has requested that Ladies Lilin, Lena, and Beph serve as her bridesmaids as well," Alfred informs the three

"If it's for Rei Nee-san I accept," Lena says proudly

"I as well," Lilin says smiling

"For ane? Yeah, I'll do it." Beph answers casually.

"Lady Iris, would you perform both soul tying ceremonies?" Alfred asks politely

"It is my duty as the head of the Humana court mages to do so," Iris says blankly

"Princess Dragonia, would you also invite the royal family of Dracas to participate as well?" Alfred asks

"Of course, I'll call father, and write a letter home as well," Dragonia says with dignity befitting her status as a former princess.

"Lady Gabrielle, would you be willing to act as the minister on behalf of the tower of Ka Mi for Prince Geordo, and Lady Rei?" Alfred asks turning to Gabrielle

"Me? There are many higher-ranking people in the church than me." Gabrielle responds confusedly.

"Lady Rei specifically asked for you," Alfred responds

"If she requests me then I will be happy to oblige," Gabrielle answers back

Alfred bows to us and goes off to send our replies. I notice that Cara is pouting a little bit, maybe because she wasn't asked to do anything at either wedding. We all disperse, and I follow Cara to her room.

"Hey Cara, can we talk?" I ask quietly

"Sure, dear. Come in." Cara says opening her room.

I enter and Cara gently closes the door behind her. Her blue eyes sparkling with a hint of tears forming. "You seem upset, want to talk about it?" I ask gently, stroking her hair.

"It'll pass. I just feel a little left out is all." Cara says sadly

"Left out? Why?" I ask

"I don't know. I feel like I don't really contribute to our party as much anymore, and I sometimes feel left out on things. Everyone is getting so much stronger. I was proud of my fighting abilities knowing Arditi, but with Dragonia, Yami, Hikari, and Colna I am not needed in the vanguard. Circe excels at both spirit and mind magic and can attack with fire magic. Beph is as good if not better of a scout as me even with my [detection], and I lack offensive capabilities. Anne is such a versatile elemental mage, Iris is probably the best healer in the world, plus she can entrap or slow opponents and protect us with earth magic. Gabrielle has her (foresight) to protect everyone from bad injuries, Lilin's mastery of her nature-type soul skill is amazing, and her knowledge and collection of plants and healing techniques.
