Chapter 80 New Estate

A couple of weeks after Yami, Hikari, and Dragonia first started attending school with us, the construction company I hired finished my estate. Before we all move in together I go with Iris and Anne to check it out. The land up to 1 square km surrounding my new estate has been partially developed, so it is clear and flattened and ready for further development.

"Babydoll, we could easily establish a trade stop around here. Since you own territory in both Dracas and Humana, merchants, traders, and craftsmen will likely want to come through your territory than pass through the rest of the other parts of the borders." Iris explains casually

"We will have to develop at least one main road from the Dracas side of your territory through the Humana side of your territory," Anne adds on

"We should first see how the estate is before we decide how to develop everything. Besides, this territory might have some valuable resources as well." I say enthusiastically

We head towards the new mansion. Right now there is no fence yet but areas for a garden, training field, armory, and guard stations have all been set aside and marked. The mansion itself faces North and is made from a combination of enchanted wood, masonry, and the windows are enchanted tempered glass. When we enter the enchanted wood keeps everything at the perfect temperature. First I want to check out the underground training area that I requested. I find the hidden staircase and unlock the door. The underground training area is exactly what I wanted and more. The builders even put in a relaxation area with a small pool, hot tub, showers, and a sauna. The entire training area is about the size of two of the school's training gyms. There is a part like a martial arts gym, equipment, and combatant training gear. There is a small workshop with crafting and enchanting tools, There is a huge area to practice magic, or hold mock battles and even a small alcove with one bed perfectly sized for Cal (in non summoned form) and a much larger bed that could comfortably have Regulus. There is also a wide chute to the surface. I call Regulus and a few minutes go by before he soars through the chute.

"How do you like your new bed?" I ask him as I scratch his neck. He sniffs the bed and screeches his approval before curling up and falling asleep immediately.

Anne, Iris, and I then head back upstairs to check out the first floor. There is a large theater, dining room, small ballroom, Kitchen connected to the dining room, as well as 4 full-sized bathrooms, 6 powder rooms, and a small library. Behind the kitchen were servants' quarters, for up to 20 live-in staff. The builders suggested that these rooms be made smaller to fit up to 50 people but I disagreed. Each of the rooms is about ⅔ the size of my room at Marquis Richards house. There are 4 half bathrooms as well, which is the same as the servant quarters at Marquis Richards, but he has 50 rooms for live-in servants.

"This ballroom seems a little small, it can only hold about 200 people," Anne says looking at the ballroom

"I don't expect much more than that, after all, I am only a viscount," I say slightly teasingly

"You darling, are not any ordinary viscount. You are a viscount of 2 countries, a fyreed order mage first class, and engaged to no less than 2 princesses. There will be gatherings of more than 200 people." Anne says back sternly

"Then we host larger events outside in the soon-to-be garden," I say back smiling

"And what about the weather, darling?" Anne asks

"I am also engaged to 2 high spiritai, and have a black level nature skill myself, I think we can affect weather in our favor" I answer back, almost laughing.

On the second floor were 18 identical rooms. They were all the same size as my room at Marquis Richard's estate. They all had a desk, chair, wardrobe, and personal half bathroom, so they only had showers and not full baths. Half of the rooms face the garden and will be the main guest rooms, while the other half face the eventual road.
