Chapter 15 School Life

I woke up early today. It's my first day in the mage development program at school. This means that I can take electives specific to people who reveal magic-type soul skills. I'll have to go to the office to sign up for the electives in the program. I have two elective slots to fill, three if I decide to drop caster practical magic practice, which is kind of a free period. That class just lets casters practice and hone their magic spells. In the mage development program, I can choose between mage practical magic practice, magic theory, enchanting, battle magic, elemental study, soul/life study, spirit/mind study, black study, and transcendental study. Usually, a specific magic study is only open to those who reveal that category of magic skill but since I am a rare case that can do all magic I have all the options.

Since I am a registered adventurer I don't really need extra time to practice, and I am already learning enchanting from Herrero. Both Lilin and Lena are in the flora development program so I can't really take any classes to be with them. Since I am trying to figure out the theory of combination magic, maybe magic theory would be a good start. I might even learn some of the baseline concepts for spells, which is always a hot topic being studied around the world. I don't really care for battle magic, and can practice different things on different quests. Plus I have the [blood sacrifice] dagger I made. Therefore after magic theory, I can take two more elective classes in the specific magic categories. But which two categories should I focus on?

While I'm walking towards the school I'm also thinking to myself which electives to choose. I see one of my classmates, Chishiki Bazu. He is a green common with the soul skill [investigate] which suits him really well since he wants to be a reporter when he grows up. He is also one of the few guys at school that I can talk to since he isn't intimidated to speak in front of the "elven princesses".

"Hey Wats, did you hear?" He called out to me

"Hey Chishiki, what's the news this time?" I ask lightheartedly

"Well, one I hear you are joining the mage development program?"

"Hahaha and this is supposed to be news to me? Yeah just thinking what three electives to take." I say laughing

"Well then this news is even more relevant to you, we are getting two transfers into the mage program." Chishiki proudly states

"Two, wow that's a little odd. But cool, what do you know about them?" I ask curiously

"Haha, that got your attention. Well, I hear they are both juniors like us and both girls. That's all I heard. Maybe they'll be in our homeroom." Chishiki says happily

"Haha, what are the odds that both will be in our homeroom, realistically just hope for one and that she is cute." I laugh

"Yeah well like you are one to talk, you are surrounded by beautiful girls." He says slightly grudgingly

"That may be true, but I still have never had a girlfriend. If anything I'm hoping the transfer student will be cute, more than anyone right now." I reply happily

"Well if you hope for it, then they will probably both be hot. But then knowing you even if they are older, you will end up treating them like a little sister, and still end up lonely!" He says laughing

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" I snap

"Take a look at all your 'sisters', your only real sister is Rei, the current royal guard who was known as Valkyrie the beautiful war maiden while she was here, then you have Beph Kani who graduated last year. She was called the sacred fox loli. Then to top it off you have both the elven princesses. It's no wonder why so many guys are jealous of you man, you are surrounded by beautiful women." Chishiki explains
