I follow the Humana Emperor out to the garden next to the practice fields. We stop just at the edge of the garden and the practice field.

"Wats, do you know why I asked you here?" Emperor Humana asked sternly.

"No, your majesty," I answered with a deep bow.

"My third wife, Lizel Bella Richards Humana gave me my third daughter Anne Kiers Richards Humana. Although they are not in direct succession for the throne I still care quite deeply about both of them. Both of them are also powerful mages of multiple types of magic. Lizel is a gold level mage of elemental magic and a green level mage of black magic, Anne is a blue level elemental mage. Their soul skills and ability to utilize multiple types of magic is already rare and also powerful enough to be sought after, so as an emperor, husband, and father I do what I must to protect them. Anne received the best magical tutelage from different elemental experts, most of whom deeply believed that the combination of elements and different types of magic was not only impossible but even if it were would be extremely dangerous to even attempt. Then out of the blue, the husband of one of my wife's sisters claims to have found it to be possible. This greatly excited Anne and she left for her uncle's almost immediately despite my warnings and attempt to caution her. When she got here she found out that it wasn't her uncle but a schoolboy no older than her who seemed to have discovered this 'impossible' technique. I want to see with my own eyes that it isn't some sort of trick by my naive brother-in-law and a trickster of a commoner. And should it be determined that it isn't a trick of either of you, I would also like to determine the safety of attempting to cast such spells." The Emperor imposingly tells his story before telling me why he brought me out here.

I quickly nod. "When her highness and I first met I had only figured out pseudo-combination magic, which is releasing two spells that have their effects multiplied by each other using the natural multiplication effect of elements when they interact. Since it is two spells being released simultaneously it takes the same amount of mana as casting 1 and ¾ spells of that level and also multiplies the effect by up to 5 times depending on the level of each spell released." I carefully explain. Her majesty Lizel seemed quite interested but Emperor Humana was still staring at me imposingly. In order to demonstrate this, I began to explain more " This is the normal white level air spell [grass whistle], This is the normal white level fire spell [ember]. However, when released together at the same time it turns into this {fiery slash}." I explain while showing the effect of each spell on the practice dummy in the field.

"I see, and can this combination of elements be taught to others?" Her majesty Lizel asked curiously

"I have been trying to teach it to both Princess Anne and Marquis Richards. Only Princess Anne has been able to grasp it so far. She also has about 75% success rate of figuring out other spell combinations that work, because even if the elements work together the spells often don't utilize the multiplicative effects." I explain to Her Majesty

"Oho, how wonderful. Anne, would you mind showing us as well?" Her Majesty asked cheerfully

"Yes, mother," Anne replied. She then used (dual cast) to unleash {crystal walls}. "This is another of Wats' original pseudo combination magics {crystal walls}. It is a simultaneous release of green level earth magic [iron walls] and green level water magic [glacial freeze]. The defensive power has been proven to stand up to gold-level elemental magic. Mother, if you would please release a gold level attack spell?" Anne says smugly

"Ohoho, very well. Anne don't cry if your little walls fall though." Her majesty says smiling smugly. She really did look like her daughter. She then started making a magic circle. I silently activated (spell concept) just to see if it worked, and it did. I could see each formation and how it connected in the magic circle. I also inherently began to understand the spell her majesty was about to cast
