The next morning, I went with the girls to pick up the scabbard that Herrero promised to make. When we got there I was surprised to see so many people at the guild, it looked like they were setting up for a parade or something, I figured that we could go in, choose a quest and then find out what the commotion is about afterward. If it is something interesting we might stick around, but since most of the party are now blue ranked adventurers we still have a quota of completed quests we have to do unless we want to take a fine at the end of the year. I go with Colna to Herrero's shop, it is more packed than usual. I walk up to Gareph, "Hey Gareph, Your uncle said he would make a scabbard for me by today. Do you know where it is? I don't want to bother him if he is super busy though." I ask

"Please wait here," Gareph replies with a light bow before disappearing into the back. A few minutes go by and Gareph comes back with Herrero.

"Hey Kid, I wanted to talk to you about that sword you made yesterday," Herrero says softly. I softly nod and Colna and I follow him into the back room. There he points to 4 different scabbards. "I made all of these because I couldn't figure how to approach it. It is a really powerful artifact you made yesterday, however, in the wrong hands it will be very dangerous, and could lead to conflicts of an international scale." Herrero warns

"What do you mean? It is just another artifact how could it cause such conflict? Besides, you said yourself that my craftsmanship is amateurish, you didn't have to make such ornate scabbards." I ask confusedly, pointing at the last two scabbards.

"Well, I was going back and forth on whether or not you should actually carry that sword. It is a powerful artifact, and with the enchantments, material, and 12 sealed spiritai I calculated that that sword you made could go for 1400 to 3000." Herrero explains

"Gold?" I ask curiously because although that is pretty expensive it would run just slightly higher than some of the artifacts that Herrero made with the increase magic formations. I do some quick calculations in my head and come to somewhere between 56 and 120 platinum bittels. This amount could definitely buy an estate of good size.

"No, 1400-3000 platinum bittels," Herrero says shakily

"......" Both me and Colna are shocked at that huge amount of money. That is more than the worth of some smaller countries, how could a single artifact be worth so much?

"Which is why I suggest you keep the extent of the abilities of the sword secret as much as possible. I made these two scabbards with your adventuring in mind, they are light, durable, comfortable, and sturdy. This one is enchanted with [silent step], and this one is enchanted with [recognition inhibition]. I made the other two so that you can carry the sword for formal occasions as well. This one is enchanted with [danger sense] and the last one is enchanted with your [elemental increase] magic circle." Herrero explains and hands me all four scabbards. The first one is made out of simple black leather and can be easily and comfortably attached to any sword belt. The second one is made of what feels like snakeskin, its scaled pattern shimmering similar to the colored lines of the spiritai in the blade. The third one is what appears to be dragonoid skin, inlaid with gold. It has an ornate gold and silver casting to hold the sword onto a dress belt. The last one was a heavy metal scabbard crafted from silver and inlaid with jewels and gold. There was a platinum inlaid leather belt and a small platinum chain to attach the scabbard to the belt.

"Thank you, master," I say accepting the scabbards. I bow deeply and pull the spiritai sword out of my infinite storage. I place it into the snakeskin scabbard and attach it to my belt. I put the other three into my infinite storage
