Chapter 49 Last Days in Capital

We stayed in the capital for a few days, going out shopping and relaxing in the day and I would study the Devil Lord Wars, and the Hero and 14 Angels at night until Anne, Cara, Lilin and Gabrielle would stop me when it started to get too late. Finally, we were able to get another audience with Emperor Bantran regarding joining the subjugation of the Behemoth. We had discussed it earlier, and now everyone in the party wanted to join the subjugation team. The more I tried to convince them that it was dangerous and that they didn't need to join the more they argued that they wanted to join me. Eventually, Circe and Colna, who were the ones resisting the most, decided to join us in subjugating the behemoth and I had no other arguments towards the others.

When we got into the audience hall this time it was just Emperor Bantran, Queen Theresa, and Queen Lizel.

"Good afternoon everyone." Queen Theresa greeted us

"Good afternoon your majesties. We have come today to request joining the subjugation team of the behemoth that will appear south of Jarcata in the badland plains." I answer formally

"Alright, well the subjugation teams will be heading south in a few weeks. However, there is a question among many on the team about your age, and skill level so if you agree to train with some highly skilled professionals until we meet up with you all and your instructors approve we will accept." Emperor Bantran explains calmly

I look back at the rest of my party and see them all nod in agreement. "Very well, who would our instructors be?" I ask back curiously

"You will be instructed how our army formations work, therefore as a close-quarters combat instructor, you will be joined by royal guard captain Rei Resero. I believe you two are familiar." Emperor Bantran says with a slight smile

"Haha, yes we are familiar." I laugh

"Also joining you to teach how magic is applied in battle will be head royal court mage Iris Hecatia. Finally to teach you all how to apply nature-type skills my daughter Princess Joan. All of them are already going to be a part of the subjugation, if any of them feel that any of you are not ready, you will not be joining the subjugation of the behemoth, understand?" Emperor Bantran says sternly

"Yes your majesty" We all reply firmly

We all turn around to leave, "Wats please stay for a little bit. Everyone else you are dismissed." Emperor Bantran says calmly. I nod to them and everyone else leaves the audience hall.

After everyone else left, Emperor Bantran turned to me. "Have you found out anything else about the prophecy and the Devil Lord wars?" He asks concernedly

"Yes." I then tell him everything that I have learned, including how behemoths conquered cities during the last devil lord wars and how the seal is only temporary. He just nods along as I explain everything.

When I finished telling him what I have learned, "I knew that the seal on Devil Lord Kxhaoxix is temporary, but the rest of the information including the name of Hero Blanco and the 14 angels is news to me. Thank you. Now I have to tell you something important." Emperor Bantran said sadly.

He then began to explain how there is only a maximum of five years before the seal breaks, and his plans to try to unify the different countries. Then he said that in certain cases he might call on me and my party at different times to be representatives as well as possibly the unifying hero. I told him it was a lot to take in and that I may not even be the said chosen one of the prophecies. He just laughed lightly and dismissed me.
