Chapter 73 Caught in the Lie

Princess Anne and King Henry arrived at the base camp and were immediately greeted by guards.

"We need to speak with General Inuka immediately." King Henry states in an urgent voice.

"Yes, your majesty." The guard bows. Everyone in the camp has been instructed to treat King Henry, and Viscount Magias' party with the utmost respect, even while the Sylph Kingdom and Dracas are on the verge of War. The guard led King Henry and Princess Anne to General Inuka's tent. He knocked on the central tent pole.

"Who is it?!" General Inuka called out

"General, The King of Sylph and third Imperial Princess to see you, sir." The guard answered back

"Let them in, then have no one disturb us." General Inuka called back

Once inside, Anne brought out and activated a [wave cancel] artifact sometimes used in secret negotiations between high-ranked officials. Before she was picked up by Wats, her father gave it to her in case she needed absolute secrecy. "Good evening general, do you mind if we have a moment of your time?" Anne asked politely

"Of course not, please take a seat. Would you care for some tea?" General Inuka asks politely.

"Sure, I'll take some," Anne says politely reaching for the cup closest to the general.

"I'll have some as well." King Henry said with a slight smile

"Is there any news on King Julien?" General Inuka asks

"No, but we have some bad news. Queen Dragonia has now also gone missing." King Henry states flatly

"What?!?! How?! She is with Viscount Magias.... Ahh I see this is Viscount Magias' plan" General Inuka quickly calms down

"What do you mean by that?" Anne asks blankly

"You are trying to smoke out the traitor(s) aren't you. That boy sure is clever. I take it you have found King Julien and the guards then?" General Inuka asks calmly

"How were we found out so quickly?" Anne asks with a slight smile

"Well, I have seen how powerful Viscount Magias is. That is why we allowed our acting queen to go with him and your party. I also know how much he adores you, and you adore him. You wouldn't be able to calmly report anything if something really did happen to him. I also figured that I was still on your list of suspects, even if the chance was low, you still had to air me out. The biggest thing though is that you smell calm like you have a plan. Even among lupines I have been blessed with a very strong sense of smell, and can often tell a person's emotions by the way they smell." General Inuka explains rationally

"Should I act more distraught when I tell the other suspects?" Princess Anne asks curiously

"That depends who are the other suspects on your list?" General Inuka asks politely

"Minister Sune, Advisor Sagishi, and Prince Drake" Anne answers calmly

"And how are you planning to tell their innocence or guilt?"

"We are going to tell them the same thing we told you and judge their reaction. Yami and Hikari also have some spiritai watching and if anything happens to me, I am tied to Wats' soul." Anne explains calmly
