Chapter 26: The Choice

Mix killed anyone that came on his way and he did not care whether it was a slash or two he had to deliver as long as the obstacle is out of the scene and he even killed Luke's men on his way.

His eyes caught a glimpse of Arin who was on a black horse staring at the scene and he was glad that Arin did not see him specifically. It was better that way.

But just when he was about to turn around and go, he saw another figure he was familiar with behind of Arin on a white horse but before he could comprehend who she was, he had to walk away unless he wanted Arin to see him.

No risks. Was his motto for the time being as he was faced with enough problems already.

Love.... is that her?
He thought to himself as he fled off for Gulf .

"Mix what is the huge sound coming from outside?"
Gulf asked scrunching his face as he did when he is clueless.

Mix did not bother to answer and at this rate, he doesn't fucking care to answer because his inner thoughts were in turmoil planning what he should do next

"We should get you to Luke"
Mix answered in a hurry while finding something that might help to break the chains and the grabbed a nearby big rock and came to Gulf in a hurry.

"Why Luke? Didn't you say he is going to aid in killing me?"
The former bodygaurd tilted his head confused and Mix was panting trying to break off the chains by banging the rock on it.

"He is... and... that is why.... we should go there.... fuck... dammit. Why doesn't this shit break?!"
He cursed as kept on banging the chains and now Gulf was even more confused

"Aren't you supposed to take me away from him though?"

Mix did not answer but instead broke the chain until it was hanging from a little string and then immediately attacked it by his teeth

"Mix No! It is going to hurt your teeth."

Mix totally ignored Gulf as he bit the last string from his teeth because the stone was now broken into small pebbles and his lips and teeth began to bleed as he broke the final attatchment off.

"Fuck."
He cursed spitting off blood from his mouth and Gulf immdiately held him by the chain and observed his face.

Mix winced when his jaw moved and it was agonizing as his teeth were about to come off from the gums

"I told you...."
Gulf gently rubbed his jaw as he whispered and then smiled at him softly.

"Thank you Mix."
He said and the bodyguard nodded gently back at him

"Let's go. I will explain the things on the way"
Mix said as he supported Gulf by his waist to stand up because the boy was weak and Gulf put one of his arms around Mix's shoulders helping him to for the support.

"Luke... he is trying to let them kill you in a way that is gives the idea that you died in a sudden attack so he won't get the accusation as he aided to kill you"
Mix started and Gulf nodded while saying

"Yeah... right... you told me this before"

"But right now, I can't take you away from here either because then both of us will be committing a treason going against a royal order from the third prince."

"Right."
Gulf nodded

"But if I take you to Luke right now, he can't let them kill you in front of me, can he? You know then I will be a witness and I am a member of The Silver Line. So he should protect you."

"But what if he kills you?"

"Do you have a better idea? This was supposed to be three days later, not now. I am barely hanging on my breath."
Mix said frustratingly.
