Chapter 46: Right Here Beside You

As the horses reached the palace by the night, Sam could not believe how he ended up in the Royal Palace; a place which he never thought he would even see. Everything seemed so surreal to him and if he be honest, everything was a bit overwhelming too. This happened so fast that he did not even know if he was adjusting to it in the right way.

The guards immediately came near the horses as soon as the got down and a girl's squeal echoed in the entrance

"P'Gulf!!"
Everyone stood shocked as Love ran and hugged Gulf like there was no tommorow and Davika and Mix who had come along with her was also now standing shocked looking at Gulf as if they were seeing a dream

Who would have thought the journey to capture Luke will end up getting them Gulf?

Love never knew Gulf until she met him on that chaotic day three years ago but living in the palace and knowing how much the boy mattered to her brother and the other princes  Gulf was already her family in her heart.

Though Gulf was surprised to have Love hugging him suddenly, a sudden warm feeling crept through him as her soft hands wrapped around his body making him feel like home

"Ohoooiii!! Bright see who forgot her own brother after seeing Gulfie"
Win said teasingly and Bright shook his head laughing.

"Inform my brothers we are back and let them know Gulf is here with us."
Bright said to the nearest bodyguard to which the man bowed and disappeared

Love then embraced Win and Bright allowing Davika to give Gulf a warm hug and she patted on his back with a soft whisper

"Glad to have you back Gulf. You don't know how much we missed you"

She had a lot of questions in her mind as of how Gulf was here and how they found him and Davika was quite curious about the other boy who was standing beside Gulf as well but she kept silent knowing it was not the time and gave a polite smile to Sam though she did not know he was.

Mix was still standing in front of Gulf, his eyes filled with tears which were now streaming down his face unstoppably. He was feeling, happy, overwhelmed and guilty at the same time and Gulf could not help but tear up looking at the boy

"Mix..."
Gulf said in a low tone as he approached Mix who was now a crying mess, still standing on where he was and it came into realization to everyone, how much Mix had held within him

"Phi.... I'm so sorryy"
Mix sobbed as he hugged Gulf tightly

"I know.... I was supposed...to protect you... before... anyone... I know that very well... But that... day... Phi... I...I am so sorry. I am so sorry I left you. I am so sorry that I did not choose you..."
Mix barely managed tonsay the words within his cries and Gulf was crying himself.

He knows very well that Mix had no choice back then. Even his choice would have been her at that time and that is why Gulf made sure Mix did not have to make a decision but right now, looking at Mix, Gulf could say he had been blaming himself for three years and had been holding all of it back
