Chapter 75: Set It On Fire

The atmosphere inside Bright's chamber was quite heavy considering the fact that everyone was gathered there to do somethings that they don't want to do anymore.

Earlier in the days, if they were asked if theu wanted to so this, they might have cheered for it but now... it just did not feel like it. It was like their energy was sucked out of them and now they were holding on to a slight thread. They were tired with everything. With every loss and with every drop of blood. Though it may not seem like it, everyone's lives took a big toll when Fero died. No matter what he has done, he was still Gulf's and Sam's brother and of course he was a part of them in the final battle. They expected each other to be injured but death.... they just hoped it never happened.

"So..."
Bright spoke in a soft tone gaining everyone's attention and now that Mile was not in his right mind to handle anything, it was Max who had to take charge.

"So the sooner we finish this, the sooner we close everything."
Max said finally speaking after Bright broke the ice and then Mew spoke tiredly

"Do we... really have to do this? Can't we just tell father to finish it off?"

"I... don't know Mew. I just don't know. I don't want to do any of this and if I can be reborn as a normal person instead of a prince at this rate I would choose it immediately."
Max replied slumping back on his chair frowning and then Mile spoke for the first time

"Same goes with me..."

"Oh! I think it would be nice if Apo and Tul were born princes and you as his bodyguards! I mean you will get a taste of the sufference you gave to them... but oh no!"
Bright mimickingly put his hand in front of his mouth

"I forgot!"
He slapped his head

"They are not beasts like you. They are human! So they will treat you well"
Bright finished grinning with a roaring of laughter filling the room and earning two glares from his eldest brothers while they muttered something about Bright being a brat once again.

After the laughter dissolved in a few minutes and everyone was still grinning like idiots, Mile stood up smiling and then looked at Bright

"Thank you Nong.."

"For what?"
Bright asked shrugging and Mile smiled

"For lifting up the mood"

"Isn't that why a family is there for? To be there for each other?"
Bright questioned back and everyone went into a comfortable silence until Max decided to speak again

"So whom are we starting with?"
He asked and just then Davika spoke in a soft tone.

"May I say something?"

Everyone looked at her and Mile, Max, Mew and Bright felt their insides tightening when they got reminded that Davika's father who is also their uncle is within the culprits. They knew very well how close the man was to Davika and Mile specifically knew even though Apo was his wife's mistake, the man took care of the boy very well and considered him as his own son

But at the end... he poisioned his son and almost poisioned his daughter too... power... it does change people for real
The eldest prince thought to himself as he gestured Davika to go on

"I just... want to know what is happening to my father..."
She said her voice cracking on its own and just then she felt Sam's hand rubbing her back unnoticed by anyone
