"Ron wait." I whisper-shouted down the hall, beckoning for him to come with me. He followed me downstairs.

"What?" He asked as we stood in the dimly lit living room.

"Don't what me. It's our anniversary in twelve minutes." I pointed to the grandfather clock that read, 11:48.

"It's also Christmas, and your birthday. We need a new date."  He chuckled, lifting my chin with his finger and kissing me gently.

"I hope we weren't supposed to get each other something." Ron smiled, I shook my head laughing.

"Eleven minutes." He sat down on an arm chair, smiling. I squeezed in beside him, my legs swung over his own.

"Just like the good old days." He whispered, stroking my hair. He chuckled pulling out another butterfly.

"We'll be finding these things for weeks." He said, twisting his own hair around, then putting the yellow clip on top.

"It actually suits you." I laughed.

"What d'you mean actually, of course it suits me. I'm gorgeous." He pretended to strike a pose, pouting.

"Never are you ever, aloud to make that face again." I laughed, cupping his face in my hands.

"Ten." He pointed at the clock, I turned to look. As I turned back my lips were met with his lips, smiling into the kiss, I brought one of my hands to the back of his neck. His hand moved gently, up and down my back.

"I love you." Ron said between kisses, making me smile again.

"I love you too. " I said as Ron pulled away.

"Seven minutes, to go." He brushed a loose hair out my face.

"What's been your favorite thing we've ever done together?" Ron asked me as I pulled the clip out his hair, unable to take him seriously.

'I dunno, what about you?" I shrugged, thinking.

"Well, last year when you fell asleep in my arms after we built that snowman, that's up in the top five." He nodded. I remembered the time, I had been arguing with Hermione about telling Ron about Viktor. She still joined in with the others, when they made fun of us in that picture. Looking back on it I realize why I shouldn't have told Ron and Ginny without asking Hermione first.

"Do you have that picture?" I asked him, he shook his head shrugging.

"Someone better have it." He smiled at me.

"Also, the other day when we made that cake. You were being so mushy and romantic, I was wondering if George had poly juiced into you." He smirked, nudging me.

"George much if a romantic, is he?" I asked, watching as the clock struck another minute.

"Four minutes. I'm surprised you didn't know about Angelina. George got us all to set up a date for them in that back kitchen room. Candles and everything." He chuckled.

"I didn't know him and Angelina were a thing." I sat up looking Ron in the eyes.

"Well, I dunno. I think they want a thing but their both too nervous." He shrugged, clearly he wasn't fussed.

"Did you know about Fred?" I asked, wondering if he had picked up on the constant flirting between his brother and his best friend.

"What about Fred?" He asked, u looked away.

"Girl code, not telling." I pecked him on the cheek, he rolled his eyes.

"Three minutes." I muttered under my breath.

"And that time we danced in the astronomy tower in the rain." Ron added, to his list.

"I loved that." I took a moment to  remember the sound of Blackbird by the Beetles being drowned out by the thunder. And the feeling of Ron's chest beneath my cheek.

"Two minutes." He interrupted my memory.

"The time you sang that Queen song in the common room, you looked so happy. Free." He looked my dead in the eyes.

"I love you, Ronnie." I whispered to him, the light around the room carding shadows around his face.

"One minute, I love you more." He whispered back. I shook my head, there was no way he felt more strongly for me than I did for him.

We both stared at the clock, as the second hand reached the ten we began to count back.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."

"Merry Christmas." He whispered.

A/n

This was a big chapter, that I hope you liked. Y/n had a bit of a character change recently, I don't know if you've noticed but she's been accepting off hugs from people other than Ron, she's looking back in her mistakes and admitting she was wrong. She's just becoming a better person, I think.

Comment if you have anything you want added, I'm completely open to your ideas (within reason)

Till tomorrow, hopefully

Bye x

Oml I have been sitting here for an hour waiting for peoples interactions, lmao. I hadn't even posted it, oh I'm a silly billy sometimes.
