Were the twins in any danger in the Civil War

Wait. No, let me explain. Obviously they were in danger but to add to that

Was there a side that wanted them more then the other, them being the governments and all

The confederate side wanted the twins so they could claim they had power, the Union wanted the twins to stay so they could keep control.

Also remember they were one when the war started

All I'm saying is I wouldn't be surprised if secretly Georgia and Kentucky were 'away' for awhile in one of the territories keeping the twins away from the others until it got ugly
