A/N: I got the big sad while making this so I'm amazed I finished it

"One more, one, two.....there we go!"
"Dad are we done?" IDC asked with a sigh leaning against the grand staircase of the Capitol Building. It was inauguration day, and with the chaos and preparation going on around them, the last thing the international branch wanted was to take a million pictures.
                              Much like every other inauguration.
"Oh one more darlin'." Georgia said with a smile. IDC rolled her eyes and posed just as her dad took another picture.
"It's fine papa, it's not that messy." DC groaned walking into the main room with Gov, trying to flank off Kentucky who was trying to fix his hair.
"No, it's scraggly. I told you to get a haircut." Kentucky scolded running another hand through his hair.
"Uncle Tucky, you know he barely has the time to get dressed." Gov said, rolling his eyes and opening his program for the day's events. Kentucky stepped back and inspected his son.
"Is it better?" DC asked. Kentucky gave him a once over and nodded.
"It's perfect." Kentucky said with a small smile. DC grinned as Kentucky left the two governments to look at the pictures Georgia took, and IDC approached them.
"Dad's on the warpath." IDC whispered.
"The pictures?" DC asked. At IDC's nod, DC quickly turned to his cousin. "You've got to cover me-"
"Dee! Get over by the staircase, I wanna take some pictures." Georgia ordered. DC groaned, IDC patting his shoulder sympathetically, and left his family to go over to the staircase. He posed and got ready, but when Georgia held up the camera he paused a little.
                              "Damn." Georgia whispered. "No battery."
"Oh I've got some in my bag." Kentucky announced.
"Stay here darlin', we'll be right back." Georgia ordered before leaving with his husband back down the hall. DC sighed in relief and went back over to his cousin and twin.
"Dad's so ridiculous with his pictures." IDC muttered.
"How does that man have six photo albums, and the sixth is nearly filled?" DC asked.
"You two know why he's so obsessed with getting pictures of you two right?" Gov asked. The twins looked at their cousin curiously, making him sigh.
"There's no pictures of you as babies, you've noticed that right?" Gov asked.
"No, no there is. Aunt Betsey showed us one." DC pointed out.
"That's your formal picture, I don't know why mom has it." Gov said, rolling his eyes. "But that's the only one. They have no pictures of you from when you were kids."
"It makes sense." IDC muttered. "We were born in 1789, there were no pictures back then--"
"If you'd let me finish." Gov said with a glare. The twins mumbled 'sorry' and Gov rolled his eyes. "When you were born doesn't matter, the point is, Uncle Geo and Tucky were too poor to afford photos for most of your lives. So there's no photos of you as babies or kids, they only were able to get your pictures done when you were teens because by then, they had portable cameras."
"So dad takes a million photos because he couldn't back then." DC said slowly. Gov nodded.
"That....that explains so much." IDC whispered.
"I'm amazed that Uncle Geo has almost seven scrapbooks though, has he not switched to an iPhone?" Gov asked.
"He thinks the flip phone is fine so I never pushed the issue." DC said with a sigh as Kentucky and Georgia came back.
"Alright, get back over there Dee." Georgia ordered. The twins looked at each other then back at their dads.
"Tell you what, why don't we do one all together." IDC suggested.
"Ooh we haven't done a family picture in a hot minute." Kentucky said. Georgia handed the camera to Gov and the family posed at the staircase where IDC took all her pictures. Kentucky had DC, Georgia had IDC and after a minute of trying to squish together and look good, Gov was able to take a couple of pictures.
"Those are ones for the scrapbook." Georgia said beaming and the twins felt pride swell in their chest at how happy their dad looked.
"I gotta get you another baby." Kentucky teased kissing his husband.
"Mr. and Ms. Kelly! Mr. Hamilton You're up!" An intern yelled by the open doors leading to the stage.
"Do I look okay?" IDC asked quickly, turning to her twin.
"Even though we're matching? Yeah." DC said with a soft smile. Both twins jumped at another flash, and looked at their dad exasperated.
"Sorry, I had to get one more." Georgia admitted.
"Let's go." Gov said pulling his cousins off. Kentucky and Georgia watched their children go, filled with pride as they took their positions at the doorway to go out to the stage. Kentucky looped an arm around Georgia's shoulders and kissed his forehead, feeling overwhelmed and happy. They did a good job with their kids, despite the struggles that came with raising them.
