DC Headcanon's 6: Sparkle Sparkle!

DC's boyfriend's and their role in his recovery

-Florida causes chaos but only to make DC smile. Hangs around him an unhealthy amount to make sure he has everything he needs. He's also a stickler for the schedule, DC can't get out of it. Florida has it memorized and will put his foot down. 

DC: *working* 

*watch beeps* 

Florida: *pops out of NO WHERE* Three o'clock! Break!

DC: W-Wait I just....

Florida: NOPE. Break. 

-Louisiana actually follows the food schedule to a T which no one expects. California thinks there needs to be more nutritional/healthy items, some plant based, and Texas is mad about the portion sizes. Louisiana will cook the food as is, because he knows it's important for DC

(And if he sometimes slips some spices, or seasoning in the food, he doesn't tell anyone)

-California is like....the pseudo therapist outside of therapy. If DC is upset, California can pick up on it and talk to him. DC now has a million self-help books from him. He also goes to every appointment to try and learn what new treatments/medicine they're putting DC on. He also puts his foot down with the states more often, so DC won't hear 'em arguing or fighting

-Texas has been looking for an outlet for his anger ever since DC finally broke. They've been keeping him from going back to his homestate because who knows the damage he'd do. DC has been given all his blankets, his comfiest shirts, anything that'll help. Like in the second about Louisiana, he's been trying to increase DC's food intake because he wants a speedy recovery

(They've had to tell him multiple times that's not how that works) 

-New York just sits and listens. He listens to DC cry or rant and just lets him get it all out. Much like Florida he tends to follow DC around like a dog making sure he's alright. When DC was too weak to walk, he'd help him walk, and tuck him in so tight with his blankets DC couldn't move if he wanted. He's right with Texas in wanting to unleash his rage, but he holds back more
