"Morning Washington." IDC greeted approaching the states desk outside of the government trios offices.

"Morning, DC's going to be late, something about Florida and a bathtub full of jello." Washington announced.

"God I hope that's not a euphemism." IDC muttered, rubbing her forehead. "Any mail for me?"

"Yeah, we got some letters, some spam, I think Burger King is sending you coupons again." Washington announced handing a pile to IDC.

"I'll pass 'em to District." IDC muttered, taking the pile. "Oh, any news about the security passes for my parents?"

"Oh I just got the email today, it got rejected." Washington announced casually turning back to his computer.

"WHAT?" IDC yelled spooking the state. "How the hell did they get rejected but Florida and Louisiana got approved?"

"Well it said they could give it to you as guests, but it can't go through as family." Washington explained nervously.

"Why the-MIAMI got a security pass! Why can't it be as family?" IDC demanded. Without waiting for an answer, IDC stormed off towards the offices bursting through Gov's.

"Dad and papa's security passes got rejected." IDC announced spooking her cousin who just started eating.

"What? I got one for Mi--"

"Yes I know you did. They can get one for guests but not family." IDC explained. Gov wiped his mouth and opened his laptop.

"Maybe they filled out the paperwork wrong, Uncle Geo didn't understand half the rules anyway." Gov muttered.

"I don't get it! They're our parents! They raised us! How'd they get rejected?" IDC yelled pacing the office. Gov paused his typing and looked up at his cousin.

"Did they ever adopt you?" Gov asked.

"No Gov, I was raised by nannies all my life like you, yes they adopted us." IDC said as Gov rolled his eyes.

"I know that. Did they formally adopt you?" Gov asked. IDC stopped just as DC entered the room.

"Sorry, Dia filled the bathtub with jello for a Tik Tok. Cali's pissed." DC announced.

"God I hope that wasn't a euphemism." Gov groaned.

"No, he really filled up the tub with jello." DC explained. "Texas having an escaped animal back at the ranch, that was a euphemism."

"Dee did papa and dad ever formally adopt us?" IDC asked.

"I don't think so." DC said with a shrug taking a sip of his coffee.

"That's why their security passes got rejected under family then." Gov said with a sigh. "Uncle Geo and Tucky never adopted you two formally."

"So what? They're still our dads." DC pointed out.

"Not to the eyes of the law." IDC muttered, running a hand down her face.

"Honestly I'm surprised they got away with it as long as they did." Gov said snickering. "If someone noticed that you could've been taken away so qu-"

"THANK YOU Gov." IDC yelled glaring at Gov.

"So we'll put their security passes under guests." DC said with a shrug. "It worked for my boyfriends."

"Yeah I guess." IDC muttered sitting down on the couch in Gov's office. "But I really wish it was put on paper that they're our dads."
