So January 6th right

The states were in DC that day

Not for the counting, they wanted to go because DC/IDC/Gov had a stressful year and the main five and Wyoming deffo wanted to take DC out for something to eat

Weirdly enough around lunchtime when the counting started, DC got some money and gave it to the states telling them to go have lunch somewhere. They argued they packed a lunch (Ari gleefully showing the sandwiches Utah packed the four corners) but DC insisted, saying he'd come out with them later that night

So they do, and have fun doing it. They're coming back chatting not really paying attention when someone maybe California says 'hey is that the National Guard?'

The National Guard drives RIGHT past them and that's when their phones, which had no service in the subway, go off with the news alert

Their world crumbles right then
