Kentucky's parents threw several fits when their son started aging slower and when they were told he was going to be a state? Hoo boy.
They tried to beat it out of him because immortality was against God (was it? eh I feel like they kept their kids educated only to a point where they couldn't interpret the Bible for themselves)
It got to the point where Kentucky lied, said he lost his immortality, and worked really hard to pretend he was normal.
He fought in the French American War in part to try and impress his dad
It didn't work
His parents were possibly also Loyalists
