The only wish their mother had was they'd give them good names for her strong babies
Georgia picked 'George' for DC for King George III because he still mourned the loss of his English ties sometimes
(Kentucky: He literally started a war because he wouldn't let us be independent. Georgia: Okay and????)
He wanted DC to be named after a strong leader since he was going to be the federal government
He picked 'Jennifer' for IDC because of it's ties to King Arthur's queen, and how much he loved the stories when he was a young colony
Basically he named IDC after a queen because she is the motherfucking queen
The middle names fell to Kentucky and he chose 'Edward' for DC and 'Olivia' for IDC.
And if you knew him, you'd know those are the real names of his estranged older and younger brothers (Oliver is West Virginia's)
Kelly as the last name was kept for the twin's mother
