Sorry I haven't posted in a good long while, I'm kinda having the Big Sad. But I'll get better!

Based off what mmkbtk and I came up with

Getting everyone in and ready for meetings was always chaotic in the Statehouse with states either being dragged to the meetings or other states loudly causing chaos beforehand in the hopes that the meeting would be cancelled. Today was no different, as Florida and Louisiana had already attempted to set a firecracker off in the house and North and South Dakota, already near a fist fight, had Gov reaching for the bottle before the meeting even started. Among the chaos, Kentucky knocked gently on a door, opening it and peeking inside.

"Hey. He asleep?" Kentucky asked his husband who was sitting on the bed next to the sleeping body of his son.

"Yeah, went down a few minutes ago." Georgia said with a smile, smoothing out DC's hair. "Took his meds out like a light."

"Good. C'mon before Gov has a migraine." Kentucky announced. Georgia leaned down to kiss DC's head, got up, and followed his husband out the door, closing the door behind him leaving the fed alone to sleep.

Once the door closed, DC picked up his head to make sure they were gone.

As the chaos in the hallway died down, and a distant door closed signaling Gov finally got the meeting started, DC jumped up and set to work his plan. He was thankful his cousin took control of the meetings after his break, and was thankful everyone finally allowed him to rest, but with his meds and new schedule he was fine now and could go back to running the meetings and doing the work. No one seemed to believe him about this, none of his doctors, his family, hell even his boyfriend's refused to listen. But he'd prove to them he was okay, he just had to get into that meeting.

DC left the room and looked up and down the halls, making sure no lingering states were around to catch him before creeping towards his room. As he approached the end of the hallway, closer to the meeting room he could feel his heart rate accelerate and hands become sweaty. All the memories from past meetings hit him all at once, the chaos, the fights, what inevitably led to-no. No he had to be strong, he had to win, he already won, it's time the states knew that he had won.

Gathering up his courage, DC finally entered his room, slightly messier than he remembered due to the fact that he and New York switched bedrooms after the breakdown. Paying no mind to the clothes on the floor, DC went to his closet and pulled out his old suit, smiling softly at the bright blue fabric and red tie. He couldn't wait to switch to the silk blue tie IDC bought him when Biden was elected, another thing earned once he proved to the others he could still run the meetings. DC quickly changed from the pants and Texas Rangers shirt he borrowed from Texas into his suit, hands shaking as he slipped on the old, familiar garment.

"You can't be scared of a suit Kelly, c'mon." DC scolded himself, struggling to button the buttons. Memories hit him of being back in Washington, dealing with politicians, more specifically cult members, getting yelled at by the president, getting thrown around-

"GET IT TOGETHER!" DC hissed, abandoning all hope at getting his tie right. Oh well, it was never neat anyway, all that mattered was getting his hair neat and then he'd be in that meeting. DC struggled to smooth down his hair as he left his room, trying to stop his heart from being fast as he approached the door to the meeting room. He could feel his stomach churning, bile rising in his throat, everything in his brain was screaming this was a bad idea but NO. NO he needed to do this. DC's fingers grazed the doorknob and he could only pray that Florida started some kind of chaos that'd distract everyone and get him inside.
