Plot: You, Vinnie, and Jett participate in some tomfoolery in the middle of the night
———————————————————————————
*This takes place at the Hype House btw*

It was about 3 in the morning and you couldn't sleep. So you were just watching a random movie on Netflix.

You heard a soft knock on the door but it opened before you could say come in.

Vinnie peaked his head in. "Hey."

"Hi. Come in."

He came in and shut the door behind him and then sat on the side of your bed. You sat up to give him your undivided attention.

"What you doing?" He asked.

"Not much. Can't sleep. What about you? Why are you up?"

"Couldn't sleep either. And then I started craving donuts and I wanted to ask...if you wanted to get some with me. I didn't want to go alone."

"At this time of night?"

"Hey, I found a place that was open 24 hours." He smiled sheepishly.

"Alright bet." You jumped out of bed and put your shoes on.

"Wait, I'm gonna text Jett and see if he wants to come too."

"Okay." You replied and went to the bathroom to make your hair look somewhat presentable.

You threw on a crewneck but kept your sweatpants on. Vinnie was wearing his green shirt, gray sweatpants, socks and slides, with his red bandana to keep his hair out the way.

"Okay he said yes." Vinnie said and got up to go the the door and motioned for you to follow.

You grabbed your phone and wallet. "You driving?"

"Yeah."

Okay, so you didn't need your car keys.

You two headed down the kitchen where you would meet Jett. Both of you made slow movements as to not make too much noise.

"Why is he taking so long?" Vinnie complained. "We are not going on a road trip."

You smiled to yourself at how he was acting impatient.

Finally Jett came downstairs and he had a blanket wrapped around him.

"Aright I'm ready." He said in a normal tone of voice.

"Shh." You and Vinnie shushed him simultaneously.

Jett put his hands up in defense. "Okay. Chill."

The three of you made it out of the house into Vinnie's car. Vinnie driving, you in the passenger seat, and Jett in the backseat.

"So Jett, have you ever snuck out the house before?" You asked him.

"What?" Vinnie butt in. "We aren't sneaking out technically because our parents aren't here."

"I know, I'm just speaking generally."

"Nope, never did that." He answered.

"Well I have because I go see moms." Vinnie said.

"I'm starting to think this isn't a joke anymore." Jett responded.

You and him laughed and Vinnie just sat there with a smile.

When y'all arrived at the donut place, you were relieved to see that they still had a large selection of donuts. You started to think that maybe all the good ones were gone.

Y'all looked around and ordered separately and Jett had the idea of getting some hot chocolate despite it being 75 degrees. But he wanted to get it at the grocery store because it would be better.

Vinnie and Jett already had what they wanted and were just waiting on you to make your final decision.

"Y'all got money?" You asked them.

All they did was back away from you.

"What the fuck? Y'all just assumed I was gonna pay for it?" You scoffed playfully.

They still didn't say anything. Only the smiles on their faces spoke volumes.

"Well too bad. They don't take debit card." You said and pointed to the sign near the cash register.

Vinnie groaned and took out his wallet to pay for the stuff. You went and stood next to Jett, who still had this blanket wrapped around him.

"That'll be all." Vinnie told the man behind the counter.

Vinnie then drove to the store to get the hot chocolate. It was in a box, so you'd have to make it once you got home. Which was fine because at least you could put the whipped cream on top.

By this time, it was almost 4 in the morning and you wanted to get back to the house as soon as possible so that your sleep schedule wasn't too messed up.

But of course, you were with the boys and it took longer because they wanted to look at anything and everything.

Back in the parking lot, y'all stood outside Vinnie's car, finishing y'all's donuts before they got too cold.

You were sitting there talking when a car right across the street passed by. There were a group of teenage girls who had the windows down and were saying "oh my god! Oh my god!"

The three of you were still.

"Do you think they recognized you?" Jett asked Vinnie.

He looked down the street to where they were. The girls did a U turn so hard that y'all could hear a skrrtt.

"Yep."

Vinnie rushed to get in the car and you and Jett followed his lead.

"Go go go go." You laughed. Vinnie put his car into reverse and sped out of there.

"Wait, we're not gonna stick around to see if they're hot?" Jett asked.

"No!" Vinnie exclaimed. "I'm sure they're just 16 year old girls who stole their moms car like it's actual GTA."

You were pretty sure Vinnie was borderline speeding, not knowing if the girls were following him or not.

"Slow down." You nudged him. "I think we lost 'em."

He drove into the driveway of the house safely. He parked and the three of y'all sat there for a minute before laughing.

"I never put my car into reverse so fast." Vinnie sighed.  "That's a way to start off the morning."
