Plot: You and Vinnie aren't dating but definitely like each other. Unfortunately he has this one friend who likes to flirt with you

It was a Friday night which meant that Jett had wanted to go out. Vinnie didn't want to at first but once he found out it was a car meet, he was getting ready in no time.

"You've got to come too." Vinnie insisted while I sat on the side of his bed. "Jett will be there and Will is coming too."

"Sounds like a boys night." I mumbled and tried to decline nicely. "I don't wanna intervene."

He rolled his eyes. "As if you would. Come on, you have to."

Honestly it seemed fun. He loved his cars and cars in general. I loved to see him happy. And he invited you, so he obviously wanted me there.

When I didn't respond, he sat right next to me and slung an arm over my shoulder.

"You don't have to stay long. I'll leave when you want." He said. "But please come."

"Ugh." I groaned and dropped my head on his shoulder. "Fine."

"Yay!" He exclaimed and hugged me closer to him.

The event was a lot cooler than I thought. It was exciting to see the different types of cars. There were even girls my age with custom wrapped lambos.

"Such a show off Hacker." Will laughed as Vinnie drove his car up the ramp. Lots of people were driving their cars around the warehouse so everyone could get a good look at them.

"I finally got it to work again." Vinnie laughed as he stepped out. "You better believe I'm going to."

Jett crossed his arms. "And who helped you?"

"Alright, alright." Vinnie waved him off but then turned to me. "And I'm so proud of this one over here." He said and put an arm around me. "We spend so much time at the warehouse and she's a quick learner."

I smiled at him and was about to respond when a guy named Alex interrupted.

"Jesus, we get it. You two are fucking each other, stop bullshitting us."

Something seemed off about him. I met him once before and he watches me like a hawk. It's so uncomfortable. He's even flirted with me before and I never gave into it. I guess the idea of a girl not wanting him pissed him off.

Alex rolled his eyes, no humor in his statement as if he was completely done with me and Vinnie.

"Shut up." Vinnie scoffed with a laugh.

"Oh? What did I miss?" Jett asked.

He looked at me as if I was about to tell him the greatest story in the world.

I just shook my head. I didn't wanna start anything, especially since Vinnie came to have a good time with his friends.

"You guys are ridiculous." I told him.

"Hey, we're gonna go take some pictures." Vinnie said to me. "I'll be back soon."

He left with Jett and Will but Alex stayed behind.

Well...fuck.

I was left in the exact situation I hoped I wouldn't be in. Already I could feel Alex's gaze on me. Silently, I walked away, thinking about admiring the other cars or maybe trying to find some girls to talk to. Anything to avoid conversation with Alex until my friends returned.

Alex seemed to have other plans.

"Really? You're ignoring me now?."

I bit the inside of my cheek and pulled out my phone. "How about we just sit in silence until they come back?"
