Plot: Vinnie tries to help you relax while you're pregnant
(Requested)
———————————————————————————

You're in the third trimester of pregnancy. Thirty weeks and two days to be exact. You are at your biggest right now, not only your stomach, but also having gained the most weight so far.

Vinnie has been on standby every since you got pregnant to help you with anything you needed. Most recently, he's been helping you put on your shoes and giving you foot massages due to swollen feet as a result of this newfound weight.

This morning, you had woken up around ten, with Vinnie already making breakfast. Before you go to greet him, you head into your bathroom to grab your moisturizer. The skin around your belly has gotten dry and thin, so this helps.

While you tenderly make your way down the stairs, Vinnie is busy with the waffle maker in the kitchen. You pause for a moment, watching him as he moves back and forth between the refrigerator and the counter. He is in a pair of sweatpants that are low on his waist, and to no surprise, he has no shirt on. His curly hair is still messy from the night before. His back is to you but you know he is concentrated on what he's doing in front of him.

Just then, he turns around to grab something when he slightly jumps at the sight of you, not knowing you were there a few feet away.

"Morning." you grinned.

"Oh hey, morning." he replies and gives you a wide smile back.

He drops his utensils and makes his way over to you.

"How did you two sleep?" He looks down at your belly and reaches out for it, rubbing his hands gently over it.

And there it is, that proud smile on his face as he leans in to kiss you. Proud that you're carrying his baby.

"I kept tossing and turning, but pretty good for the most part. What are you making?" You asked as you gestured to everything laid out on the counter, walking towards it as Vinnie keeps a lingering hand on your shoulder.

"Those waffles that you really like." He replied. "And no, I'm not finished yet."

"Ooh, and we still have those strawberries, right?"

He scratches the back of his neck. "I think so."

"Maybe we could make a smoothie too." You said excitedly.

Bending down to open the cabinet, you reach open to grab the blender, only to almost drop it as you wince in pain.

Vinnie's eyes widen and he rushes over and grabs your arm to help you attempt to stand upright.

"Are you okay?" His voice laced with concern.

You inhale and exhale deeply before answering. "Yeah. You know how I went to my midwife appointment the other day?"

He nods and guides you to sit down at the table.

"Well, she told me that the baby is head down. Which is good, but it does create a lot of pressure down here." You explain to him and gesture to the lower part of your belly.

You also felt constricted in your movements at times. Not because of the size of your belly, but due to how the baby was situated, between your rib cage and hips. So you could feel out of breath sometimes after doing the most simple tasks.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked.

As much as he loved seeing you pregnant, he also felt bad that you were uncomfortable at times.

Honestly, you wanted to tell him that it would go away soon, but there was one video that you saw on social media that you wanted to try and see if it worked. It was some sort of hack that apparently relieved pressure.

You carefully got up from your spot in the chair and ushered for him to get behind you.

"Okay so what do I do?" He asked.

You reached behind you to get a hold of his hands and bring them forward to the bottom of your belly.

He had to get into a squatting position to have the best hold on you.

"Then," you started. "You're gonna gently and slowly bring it up a little bit."

"Okay you ready? On three. One...two...three." He said and did as he was instructed.

You immediately felt the relief from Vinnie's assistance, letting out a breath, closing your eyes, and leaning your head back on his shoulder. And he was starting to regret this squatting position.

"Relax, relax." He said softly in your ear as he felt you move around a bit. "Do I need to go a little more?"

You shook your head no.

"Is it starting to feel like normal again."

"Yeah, actually."

You were surprised it worked. You might start doing this more often, if it was okay with him.
