40. Purgatory Hoodie

Plot: you and Vinnie have broken up but you still kept one of his hoodies

Craving Oreos for a late night snack, you hopped out of bed and threw on a hoodie because it was a bit chilly outside.

You headed down the the closest convenience store and scanned the aisles for the golden Oreos.

They were more expensive than at the grocery store, but whatever. You could splurge.

As you turned to go to the check out lane, you ran into a familiar face.

"Hey." Vinnie said.

"Oh, hi." You replied shyly.

He had a drink in his hand and you could see his car and Jett's out the window behind him by the gas pumps.

He smiled softly. "Nice hoodie."

You looked down and saw that it was the black Purgatory hoodie. The first one that Vinnie let you wear when you first started dating.

You forgot that you still had it.

In fact, you didn't even realize you had it on at that moment. You just put it on.

"I'm surprised you still have it." He said.

"I'm not."

"Really?"

You shrugged. "I don't hate you, ya know. Despite that we're broken up now."

He nodded. "Good to know."

You shifted awkwardly. "Um...do you want it back?"

"No. You keep it. It looked better on you that it did on me."
