91. Our own place in Washington

Plot: you and Vinnie buy a house

It's been two years since Vinnie has moved out of the Hype House and got an apartment with you. But one of the things that he's wanted to do was get his own house in Seattle so that he can have a home to go back to away from his parent's house. And now the time has come.

"I found a nice one that's in a great location. Not exactly next to the city but not too far away." He turns his laptop to you and shows the photos.

"Yeah I like it. But definitely gonna have to see it in person though." You reply.

"I'll tell Josh to add this one." Vinnie shrugs and faces the laptop towards him.

"We already have so many on the list. If we add any more, Josh will get fed up with us and then we'll have to find a new real estate agent." You sighed.

"Okay so let's just pick out five and then Josh can pick out the rest."

"Fine." You huffed. You're about to walk past him, but he grabs your hand to bring you back to him.

"Hey, we just gotta be patient. No one said that the process would be easy."

"Yeah I know." You said and run your hands through his hair. "And I know it's gonna be worth it when we find the right one."

You and him were both on the verge of saying "fuck it" to this adulting stuff.

For the next few weeks, it was routine. Find a house online, love it, see it in person, then not love it so much. Good thing that your real estate agent was so patient. You were about to take a break until Josh told you about one more house.

"Before we finish today, I want to show y'all one more." Josh says and puts down a sheet of information in front of you and Vinnie. "I think you guys are gonna like it."

Your eyes widened just by looking at the exterior. You were hoping it looked just as good on the inside.

Vinnie nudges your shoulder. "Wanna take a look?"

"Sure, why not?"

"Alright great. The address is on top and I'll meet you guys there." Josh says before heading out to his car.

You and Vinnie sat in his car in silence. Just tired.

"It'll be great." He reaches over to hold your hand.

"I hope so." You lightly squeeze his hand.

Even if the house wasn't so great, the surrounding area was so beautiful. It may have been a bit farther away then what you wanted, but you couldn't deny the beauty of the evergreen trees around you and the sight of Lake Washington in the distance.

"It looks so much better in person." You evaluate the exterior as Vinnie pulls into the driveway. Once he parks, you both follow Josh to the front door. While Josh was giving y'all more info, you grab Vinnie's hand and rub your thumb across his, giving him the subtle feeling that this house could be the one.

"Ready?" Josh asks excitedly.

"Yeah let's see it." Vinnie replies.

Josh opens the front door and steps aside to let you and Vinnie take on everything fully. You both are taken aback.

"I was hoping for that reaction." Josh smiles.

Everything that y'all wanted when you first walk through the door was here. Though the paint near the door isn't your first choice, that could easily be fixed.
