Plot: Vinnie stalks your ex boyfriend's Instagram
(Requested)
——————————————————————————-
Vinnie would swear up and down that he's not the jealous type. He even got offended when you'd joke around about him getting bitter when you made conversation with other guys, or when someone mentions exes.

Not that you had many though.

You only had one other boyfriend besides Vinnie and it was a guy that you dated for a little over three years. Started dating at fifteen and broke up when you were eighteen.

Most people would call it "high school love" but to you it was so much more than that. Cody was the first guy you ever dated and you were happy with the fact that it lasted as long as it did, even if you were just kids.

Vinnie tends to play with his fingers nervously when Cody's name gets mentioned. It's not like anyone was comparing the two men, it was just innocent. Sometimes when talking about a vacation, school, or any past memories, his name would be brought up even if you didn't intend to.

"It's cool." Vinnie would brush it off after you would apologize and tell him that you aren't trying to make him uncomfortable. And you believe him.

But Vinnie couldn't push down his curiosity about the guy. One day, he was on Instagram and he goes to your profile and hits the tab to show all of the accounts that you're following. He types in the name "Cody" and four accounts show up. He doesn't even have to click on each one to find him because Vinnie recognized him from the profile picture as Vinnie had seen a picture of him before.

And to his luck, it's not a private account.

Cody as an aesthetically pleasing profile. Lots of travel pictures, the dude must love the beach. Photos at the gym, with his family, friends, and dogs. And judging by the dates, he doesn't post too often. Looks like a chill guy.

As Vinnie scrolls further and further down, he slowly approaches the time period in which you were dating him. Vinnie has automatically assumed that he deleted the pictures of you two together, so when he came across the first couple picture, it took him by surprise.

The first one he saw was a picture that he posted for your three year anniversary. And if you were to scroll up on his profile, there wouldn't be anymore pictures of you two because according to the date, y'all broke up just a few months later.

But scrolling down, he came across one where you two took a photo in front of a Christmas tree for the holidays.

One where you guys were in the parking lot of your high school, Cody holding a bouquet of red roses and a white poster when he had asked you to homecoming.

One where you had gone on a trip together to Six Flags.

Vinnie zoomed in an examined every photo. Seeing the smallest of details. Like your hair was shorter. Or how you seemed to consistently place your hand on Cody's stomach in photos. You didn't seem to do that with Vinnie. You would place your hand on his chest. Even though is such an insignificant detail, he wonders why it's different.

He even thinks about what if he had lived in your city and gone to school with you. Would you have been friends? Or dating even?

No. No. No. That's too much.

What really got to Vinnie was a video that Cody had posted for your two year anniversary. It was a compilation of videos and pictures of you're relationship so far, with the music being someone doing a cover of Into You by Ariana Grande. Videos of and Cody goofing off in class, using the silly Snapchat filters at the time, smiles wide as you listen to music while driving, peppering each other with kisses. Pictures of you two wearing matching clothes at school, hands laced together, you with a big stuffed animal from what looked like the state fair while he held a bag of cotton candy, at the gym.
