39. You got some nerve

Plot: Vinnie sees that you've been texting your ex about him

You and Vinnie were getting ready to go out for the day. You were in Vinnie's bathroom doing your hair when your phone rang. You knew it was your mom because she said that she would be calling you.

But your phone was on Vinnie's bed.

"Babe!" You called out to him.

"Yeah?"

"Can you text my mom for me? Say that I'll call her right back. My hands are full right now."

"Okay."

He got up from his gaming chair, grabbed your phone and unlocked it.

Right there, it opened up to the last thing you were on. It was a text conversation and he saw his name. Of course it caught his attention.

Was he snooping by reading it? You did tell him to text your mom so he'd be on your phone anyway. He didn't really know but curiosity got the best of him.

He scanned over the screen and saw that the contact didn't have a name, it just had the phone number.

He looked in the direction of the bathroom and then back to the screen. He scrolled to the top of the conversation and started reading.

He felt two things.

Pissed off because your ex texted you.

But also pride because of the way you stood up for him.

He quickly texted your mom the message and then put your phone back.

You came out a few minutes later and out your phone in your back pocket. "You ready?" You asked him.

He nodded and walked over to you. "You know I love you right."

"Of course."

"And that I wouldn't do anything to hurt you?"

"Yes..? Where's this coming from?"

"Just wanted to reassure you."
