Plot: you have a boyfriend but you like Vinnie

———————————————————————————

You had met Vinnie through a mutual friend. You thought he was attractive but honestly? It didn't go further than that. You two got along great but it wasn't anything more than an acquaintanceship.

A month later, you began seeing this guy. It wasn't anything serious at first but you were just seeing if it had the potential to become a serious relationship over time.

He seemed to be moving pretty fast. It wasn't even that long until he started talking about how much he liked you and how he wanted a future. Which seems great and all, but you felt that it was a little too early for that. You were just taking things slow.

Unfortunately, the first red flag came a few weeks into it. Y'all were going to watch a movie on his phone because the laptop wasn't working. He handed you his phone to go to Netflix when a notification from Bumble popped up.

It's not like you were trying to see it though.

Still gave you a weird feeling in the out of your stomach.

If he liked you so much like he said he did, why in the world would he have a dating app?

You decided to bury it and let it go.

The second red flag came about a month later.

You two had made plans to meet up and hang out. He was even going to pick you up from your house.

But two minutes turned into two hours and he never showed up. With not so much as a word from him.

You: hey where are you?

Him: I'm sorry, I should have said that I didn't feel like driving 30 minutes away. You're probably mad at me

You: Just disappointed. If I didn't text you, you wouldn't have said anything

Him: I completely agree. Well again, I'm sorry.

You let that go also. It didn't seem fair to be hard on him since no one is perfect. But if something comes up and you can fulfill the plan, it's basic communication to let the other person know and he couldn't even do that.

It was soon after when you started hanging out with Vinnie regularly because you saw him more often than you did than you first met him.

You were over at the hype house most days of the week and just became so comfortable around him.

So comfortable, that the other people in the house would joke around and say that your a couple. But everyone knew that it was just jokes.

One day, your guy texted you saying:

Hey, you still like me right?

Yeah, why?

I don't know. Something just seems off

Maybe it's because we haven't seen each other in a while

Hmm, you're probably right

In your mind, you were telling the truth. You did still like him and you didn't know what you could have done to make him think otherwise.

It's not even like he'd seen you and Vinnie together.

Then it's like the tables just turned all of a sudden.

You looked at Vinnie one day and your perspective of him changed.

You liked him. More than a friend.
