ch 84: the bullet got into me

Marco pov

We made my men find Xavier's place. We studied his location very well and made up a plan. We are going to surprise him nicely. Vincent was around the house with some of his men, others were in the helicopter with Malik and others were with me in the house

I took my phone and I tried to call Peter video call. He finally answered his phone

" Morning, Cole." He said, looking away

" Morning, eventually, you picked up the phone. I think I should confiscate it for a week when I come back."

" I'm sorry, I-I was just upset. When are you coming?" He asked, looking at me with his innocent eyes

" When I finish my work." I smirked

" Okay." He said quietly

" Hey, don't pout, please. If I die, it would be the last expression I have seen on your face." I said playfully, " Are you learning how to manage the company?"

" Yes, David and Sofia helped me, even Dave let me do a video call with one of the clients, and it was amazing." He was talking with a lot of happiness in his voice

" Great, I'm impressed."

Someone knocked on my room

" Pete, I have to go, I'll call you later. stay away from danger and be polite and wise."

" Take care, Cole. Thank you for calling me. And stop talking about dying, please." He sighed

I nodded and hung on the call. I put on my jacket and went to see who is the knocker

I opened my door and I was surprised by Matilda. " I want to go with you." She said

" No, it's dangerous," I said

" You know Marc, if you don't take me with you, I will follow you." She threatened. I smirked at her. " Please, I want to help, I don't want to stay alone."

" There is no way you are coming."

I drove the car to Xavier's place, Matilda was sitting beside with me. I couldn't help it, she was like a pain in the ass. She didn't stop nagging. Vincent and his men were around the house. I got out the car and joined the men on the front side.

" V, let's go." I told my cousin

" Got it." He replied

We entered the house from the front and Vincent from the back. We started shooting everyone showed up in front of us

" Malik, down."

" As you like, boss."

He and his men got down the roof and broke the door to enter the house as we cleaned the garden. We came into the house and we fired on the men there.

" The rooms on all the floors are clean." Malik told me

" He had a safe room." Vincent said

" Malik, return with your men to the helicopter. Vincent, this place for you."

" Where are you going?" He asked

" To his party." I said

I rushed to my car and got in it, Matilda got in too

" What are you doing?" I asked annoyed

" Going with you, idiot." She said as she put her seatbelt

I shook my head and I accepted my fate.,l I sped up to his house where he threw up the party.

" Marc! We have friends." Matilda informed

I looked at the mirror. His men were in two cars, chasing us. They started shooting on my car.

" Mati, take the car, let me play with them."

" Yes, boss." She said

I looked at her with smug expression. She just winked at me. We switched places and she took the car over.

Teasing, " I like it." I remarked about her calling me boss, " But I like daddy more."

" You have to give me a reason to make me call you that." She retorted

" You won't be calling me that, you will be screaming it, pretty girl. And if you push it I can start working on it now." I traced my hand down her tight

" I will drop you here, Marco." She threatened," We have something more important."

" Nothing important more than you!" I slid my hand in between her legs and went up

" Marco!!! Keep your hands for yourself, I am driving!" She pushed my hand away

I smirked at her," Don't challenge me again."

She glared at me. I chuckled and unlocked the protection system of the car. I opened the machine gun that appeared on the top of the car.

" Wow, wow. That's cool!" She yelled excited

" You remind me of Peter." I smiled

She smiled fondly," You are doing great with him and I feel proud."

" You are right! I like him."

" Blood is thicker than water."

" Right! Now watch the war!" I smirked

I opened the camera and aimed at their cars. After a lot of suffering, I succeeded to fire at the two cars. They got burn with the men inside.

" Good job!" She cheered

" Thank you, ma'am, you are driving well too." I said as she was driving like a fool.

We arrived at our final direction.

" I checked the airport, he is not there." Vincent said

" Malik!"

" Yes Marco, we are on the top of his house, the others got into the garden and started the fight, you are covered."

" Thank you, man."

" I'm on my way." Vincent said

" Come, the fun won't wait." I said," Let's go, Mati!"

" Yeah!" She loaded her gun

Matilda and I ran into the house hand in hand as we covered each other by shooting whoever we saw.

" Hey, pussy" I shouted

" I think he is scared." Matilda said

" I'm here, Marco." He said

I looked at him

" I will destroy your happiness as you did to me." He yelled as he pulled his gun and fired

I heard two guns fired at the same time. We have someone else here... From behind.
The glass is just a block to make us not see the second shooter. I'm not his goal... Ohh no, Matilda.

I stepped in front of her as I shot the glass, breaking it to expose the other man. The bullet, which was directed to her, got into me.

" Marc." Matilda gasped in flabbergasting

" Marco!!" Malik shouted from the stairs

" Primo!" Vincent yelled as he entered from the door

My vision went blurry, my chest tightened and I fell to the ground.
