ch 147: The nicest Marco

Luke's pov

In the next morning, I just woke up, got ready, took my things and went downstairs. I saw them all sitting there. I wished them the morning and sat down with my coffee

" Good morning everyone "

" Morning." They said

I finished my coffee and stood up to go to my college. I placed the cup and took my things

Marco stopped me and touched my cheek gently.

" Are you okay?"

" Yes I am fine, Marco." I replied with a smile

" Not like I see, your cheeks are too red. Do you feel anything hurting you? Headache? Burning?" He asked

" No nothing... Really nothing."

He hugged me. I was caught by surprise, I hugged him back tightly. Ohh I was in need of this.

" You are forgiven." He whispered into my ear

I smiled and whispered a thank you then we broke the hug

" Bye... I am leaving for college."

I took a glance at Malik, hoping he would notice me or say something. He was just typing on his phone like I'm not here, as Peter waved to me.

It's too much ignorance for me to handle. I waved back at Pete then I left the house.

Marco called me, I turned to him

" Come on, take it out."

" What?"

" Say what you are grieving inside you buddy."

I looked at him shocked, He gave me a look of encouragement

" Uhm I-I'm feeling so bad because I sneaked into the second warehouse, did some unnecessary damage, put the security of the warehouse at risk and most importantly harmed one of our own men."

Yes, hurting him is the thing that is killing me the most from inside.

I could have avoided it or should have avoided it.

What if due to my silliness, something serious happened to him. I feel so guilty about that

" Plus everyone's mad at me... from Ford to Ron to Fred... Everyone... Chris is disappointed and I don't even want to face Pedro and Malik. Malik hasn't even looked at me since yesterday morning. I am feeling so horrible right now. Malik was ignoring me. The thing that I dread more than his wrath is his disappointment with me and ignorance towards me. I can't even feel happy about anything."

" Everything will be okay, Luke, believe me. Now empty your mind and have a good day. Nothing can stop you."

" Thanks." I smiled at him

I can't help it but it was like he filled me with energy. I got in my car and headed to college. Heaven didn't come today, her roommate was sick, so she stayed with her

I spent the rest of the day there studying and instead of going back home. I sat in the library to study for my exams till it was time to go to the warehouse.

I packed my things and got into my car. They will still be mad at me... Very mad... I sighed as I drove to the warehouse

I entered the area and saw Fred there. Great just great!

" Good evening sir "

He nodded without looking at me... Perfect... I went to the main hall and waited for everyone to join.
