Luke's pov

After dinner, I decided to call Heaven

" Hey Heaven."

" Hmm now you don't wanna hang up on me?"

" I am so sorry Eve... I was not in a condition to talk."

" If that is the case, then you are forgiven

" Thanks... How was your exam?"

" Awesome! What about you?"

" Yeah, it was fine."

We chatted for a while

" Okay, see you bye."

" Yep bye."

I lay down on the bed in order to sleep but I couldn't. I twisted and turned. All the things were coming to my mind again and it was just getting so difficult. I messaged both Josh and Theo. The message wasn't delivered, They must be offline and asleep by now.

Then, after a few minutes, I texted Landon

L: Hey

Lan: Oh, you are up?

L: Yes... It's not that late by the way.

Lan: yeah, I know but you must be tired by now.

L: I am tired but I am not sleepy... Why are you up this late?

Lan: I was watching this daily drama with my grandma haha.

L: Oh okay then carry on

Lan: Are you fine?

I was caught by surprise by that question but answered it anyway

L: Yep! All good.

Lan: By the way the grandpas were all pissed today haha.

L: Oh heck! You okay?

Lan: Yep got free after some boring lecture and a verbal assault and threat for the next time.

u: Well, let's keep this off the warehouse then. We don't want either of us to be killed.

Lan: Yeah, you are right. Now go to sleep, man.

L: uhh sure.

Lan: I mean it... Just sleep Lucas.

Lu: Of course, I am not going to dance in the middle of the night.

Lan: Being funny with your trainer, are we?

L: Oh come on stop that... I am going.

Lan: Haha sleep well Luke.

L: You too... Sleep well... Have fun with your grandma.

The whole week wasn't any different. I got over my exams. It was hard being there in the warehouse without Jaden. Theo, Josh, and I are stuck much closer now.

It's the same today, I couldn't sleep at all and again in the morning I was finally able to sleep a bit for an hour or so, but again I got woken up by the alarm. I was irritated but got up anyway.

My mood was shitty again but be calm Lucas.

I haven't really reacted much in the morning and there was nothing that one glare from them couldn't fix.

For the whole week, the maximum I was able to sleep was 4 hours after taking some sleeping pills from before. But today I am absolutely on edge.

It's Saturday... Extra hours at the gang too... I hope everything goes well.

I got dressed for college and went downstairs
