ch 181: I had the best day

Luke's pov

I didn't sleep much yesterday as I already took a nap in the evening and I was too busy brainstorming.

I woke up on time today as well as I got ready for college.

" Luca!" Peter barged into my room

" Ohh morning, Pete!" I said as I was making my hair

" Morning." He hugged me from behind

I flinched slightly at the touch... I somehow don't feel comfortable around the physical contact like I used to do... I don't why so suddenly. I was fine till yesterday or I thought so like I used to do.

I turned around and hugged him slightly, then returned to my hair

" Are you okay? Did I do something to deserve this cold treatment?" He asked with his puppy eyes

Oh what did my stupid self do! He didn't even do anything and I made him feel like that.

I turned to him and smiled. " No Pete, you didn't do anything nor this is some 'cold treatment ' for my spider. I am sorry if I made you feel that way but it's actually nothing, love."

" Okay! Fine. Uhm, I made you your favorite chocolate cake." He said as he went out the room

I just stood there very skeptical. I took a glance at my reflection from the mirror... I hate what I see.

All I can look at is some weak and pathetic waste of life. It's so annoying how I let him still control me like in the past.

I shook the thought away from my mind as I checked my phone and then took my belongings to go downstairs

I took a slice of the delicious cake and ate it... It was so tasty... So flavorful.

" It's amazing, spider." I praised my lil bro as I devoured it all that was on my plate and started chugging down my coffee

" Slow down, donut." Malik said as he put his hand on my shoulder

Marco choked with his coffee as Pete and Dest started laughing. I didn't give a fuck about this now. I shuddered at the touch as I stopped midway of my gulping down the coffee but covered it all with a smile. I nodded and slowed down

I finished the breakfast as I was finally set to leave. I waved them off and drove to my college. As usual, I spent the day taking lectures, spending time with Eve and some of my college friends and all. Then I drove to the warehouse after dropping her to her home.

I entered and the first thing I heard from my friends is Asher canceled the training for the day, a rest leave for us.

I am so glad that Asher had become this generous to us but of course I won't stay here for no use.

I decided to spend some time with my girl. I went to Lan's office as I knocked in. from what I presume, he wasn't there. I went to check on him and found him in the hall. I went to him happily. I don't have to stay here, of course I am happy.

" Hey Lan! I'm going out with my girl! " I told him excitedly

" You come to vex me?" He looked at me with an unpleasant expression

" Uh sorry to bother you! I just came to inform you that I will be leaving." I replied in a much more normal tone

I was unsure if he was really annoyed with me or just teasing

" Have a good time, Luca." He smiled and was about to put his hand on my shoulder when I stepped back bumping into someone

I just turned around saying, " Oh man sorry I-" And as I looked at him, my whole mood went south
