There Was No Way

When I first met you.
I thought there was no way.
When I first said your name.
Fire began to kindle without a flame.
When you gave me your warm company,
The world repeated,
"More."
I must have been starving,
as I grabbed all that I could.
I avoided all the warning signs and began to breathe in such beautiful smoke that we created. Tears brought to both of our eyes, blind wanderers, finding that perfect view.
Yours across the ocean.
Staring across endless reflection,
serene silence,
of curious minds,
eyes of ecstasy,
I couldn't resist to give you mine.
For I only wished to water this beautiful moment in time.
A hairline fracture shimmering in infinity.
I realized it was too late for me,
for whenever I closed my eyes.
Fireflies,
with tightened lips,
and a smile that glows,
emotional Intravenous cleansing my soul of it's grasp on suffering.
Releasing my grip's tension on Hell's invitation.
My body set fire to the wind that corses my skin, from such release of the poison that moves within.
Fear of ever losing your company, care, and the happiness you gave me.
A sailor lost at sea,
took his memories,
and set them free.
But, he again closed his eyes.
Fireflies.

Covered in darkness,
next to someone who holds hands with death.
I'm reminded what it feels to be alive,
every time I close my eyes.

An emotional ocean,
still burning,
I cry tears that melt through my skin.
For what started as curiosity.
I know I'll live happily,
lost at sea,
in such sweet memory.
