Chapter Forty-Three

Third Person's POV

Kane look at Prim. She's worried but he just smile at her assuring her that it's okay and stood up. He followed her Dad walking upstairs. She was about to stand up when she was stop by her Mom.

"Harriette, stay here. I need to talk to you" Her Mom said and she could see how serious she is. She swallowed hard and squeeze her hand secretly. "Is he your boyfriend, Prim?" Her Mom asks her directly. Her Brother is quiet in the corner while busy on his phone but she knows that he's listening to them.

"Y-Yes, Ma" She admits and bit her lower lip. Her brother scoffs.

"Didn't I tell you to break up with him? Bakit ba hanggang ngayon kayo parin?" Her brother said while his brows are furrowed.

"I love him, Kuya. Hindi ko siya hihiwalayan" She said firmly. Her Mom is quiet while looking at her daughter and son arguing.

"Love? That's hilarious!" Natatawang wika ng Kuya nito kaya nagsalubong ang kilay ni Prim.

"Whatever you say, Kuya. Hindi ko parin siya hihiwalayan" Desididong saad nito. Her Mom suddenly bursts into laughter so both of them look at her with questioning faces. They both shut their mouths as they watch their Mom laughing. When she stops she wipe her tears away from her eyes.

"Kaegan, let me ask you something" Her Mom diverted her gaze towards his son. "Why you're keep insisting to your sister that she needs to break up with him? Did he do something wrong para magalit ka sa kanya ng ganyan?" She asks. Kaegan looked away and tightened his grip on his phone.

"Didn't you remember Mom? He's the cousin of Yvo at hindi niyo ba naaalala na pinagsalitaan niya ng masama ang kapatid ko that time sa mismong harap na tin? How can I forget that, Mom? And because of him I almost lost my sister because of his Fake Fiancé" Sagot nito. Her Mom heave a deep sigh. She look at her daughter who's now looking downward.

"I know, Kaegan. I know that he's a Rockford because he's the kid that I always saw here with your cousin Aziz. He's the kid that I usually called Kenken. How couldn't I remember that?" Her Mom said. Kaegan rolled his eyes.

"But that's not my point here, Mom! He's a Rockford and you knew what I mean. He's the cousin of Yvo. Ayoko ng ma-link pa ang kapatid ko sa mga Rockford" Mariing turan nito sa ina.

"But you don't have to force your sister to break up with him" Wika ng ina nito kaya kumunot ang noo ng anak nitong lalaki.

"But, Mom!" Reklamo nito sa ina.

"I admit that I also have a grudge with the Rockford because they blame Prim for something that she hadn't mean at all. I know it was just an accident but I can't blame them too for blaming Prim because of what happened. They're just worried so much about Yvo  and even promised to file a lawsuit against her when she's on her legal age" Her Mom said sadly while looking at her.

"They even pulled out their shares on our company after that incident and that is the reason why we almost lost our company but thanks to your Dad's determination and Perseverance, we succeeded" Dagdag ng ina nila.

"But we're too old to think about it anymore. It's been five years since that incident. Prim was already on her right age but they didn't still make a move to file a case against her. I'm sure they already forget about that incident five years ago, Kaegan. Let's just hope that Yvo recovered from that accident and I hope each of our wounds healed" Wika ng ina nito kaya napabuntong hininga si Kaegan.
