Paleo's was packed by the time the boys arrived with Kate holding onto Gyu. Luckily, they had reservations...a table for five. Kate clung to Gyu's hand, remembering how much he used brag to her about the food here. Of course their main dishes were a little bit of everything, but lots of pasta. They were seated at their famous table. It was a round table. They all sat in their usual spots, but this time Kate sat in between Gyu and Kai. The place was dimly lit and smelled divine. Candles were lit on the table for ambiance. Menus were passed around drink orders were taken. Everyone ordered a type of alcoholic beverage. Kate felt a bit out of place sitting amongst them in public. For some reason something felt off tonight, and she didn't know if it was regarding her leaving in the morning. She opened the menu to hide her face. Gyu leaned into her, "You ok?" She nodded licking her glossy lips, "Yeah. I just feel like all eyes are on me. That's all." Gyu smirked, "Of course they are, baby. You're the most beautiful woman in the room." She turned up her nose, "Cookie, please." He dropped a kiss on her cheek. Across the table Soobin eyed him evilly, gripping the butter knife. Really did they have act all mushy at dinner. It was then Kate spotted they were seated in front of a small dance floor. There were four staged microphones stands. Who were they here to see? The waiter came and tapped Soobin on the shoulder, "Mr. Choi, sir. They're ready whenever you are." He calmly laid the butter knife down, "Great. We'll be right there." Gyu got the signal from Kai and pushed back his chair. They all rose to their feet. Kate asked, "Cookie?" as he slipped away. He just smiled and winked at her. She thought they had come here to eat. They were going to eat...and give her a show. If she didn't have all eyes on her before, she would now.
Oh my god! TXT took their places behind the microphones. Junnie smiled at Kate, "Kate, since you are leaving us tomorrow, we wanted to make tonight a little extra special. This is for you from us." Kate sat there in awe. They were going to sing to her. The music to "Lovesight" began. Kate nibbled on her lower lip, shaking in her chair. She was overwhelmed with tears of joy. These guys loved her. They really loved her. After all they'd been love still remained. Tae opened the song, then Junnie sang his part "You looked at me, like the sun, like destiny That one person on that beautiful day.," and formed a heart with his fingers. And Kate returned the tender gesture. Tae sang again with such heartfelt emotion that tears glistened in his eyes. He didn't quite know to express his feelings in actions towards her. So he just let his eyes do the talking. He felt it was the safest thing to do. Kai sang, "This is dreamlike love don't you know yet You always change me I'm happy to be here," and he winked at her like he always did. Junnie sang, "Lalalalala Lalalalala I miss you more today." Kate swiped away at a falling tear. Soobin sang his part, "I keep laughing when I see you The excitement that comes to mind when I see you I was hidden by the clouds abovе," and formed a heart with his index finger and thumb and blew the kiss to her. She caught it in mid air and held her fist against her heart. Gyu removed the microphone from its stand and walked over to his fiancée singing with a smile. He ran the fingertips of his right hand along her jaw as he sang, "But you look at me with your heart, love so sweet So bеautiful I can feel it." He wiped away her falling tear and gave her his ever famous aegyo. She chuckled, "I love you, Cookie." The crowd of people in the restaurant "ooohed" and "ahhhed." Some whispered, "Who is that girl?" When they reached the bridge of the song, Kai sang, "You're my only love from heaven." Kate was clearly not expecting this tonight. Leaving tomorrow was going to be hard not just on her, but on all of them. She could see it in their faces, in their eyes. Only her and Gyu knew she would be only a few hours away, and not a day away. After this she just didn't know what to think. Then her eyes met with Tae's and she sensed something a little different there. Something she'd never seen there before. It confused her a little bit. Maybe frightened her a little. She looked away as Gyu filled seat next to her. She was breathing heavy when he turned his brown eyes on her, "Wow. You're making it harder for me to leave." He smiled, "Maybe that's the plan."
