Bittersweet Victory

In the room that you entered you found a woman sitting on a bed with her hands tied up together. She looked at you with widen eyes " Are you by any chance with the Whitebeard pirates?" she asked with hope and you nodded  " And I guess you're  Rosetta." you said and she quickly run up to you " Frederick has locked your friends at the room across from here. His waiting for an Admiral to arrive." she said with worry and you just smiled " We'll  get them out. Katakuri can you  send her back to the cave that we were? If you take a small passage on the left and walk for around 10 minutes  you'll  find a boat. Please wait for us there." you said and she nodded going down the path that Katakuri opened for her with his devil fruit.

Turning the walls into mochi Katakuri  attacked Kenny who used his puppets to protect himself, he shivered feeling bloodlust and turned around, your blade missing him for a bit " WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! CAN'T  YOU JUST LET ME LIVE MY LIFE?" he screamed attacking you " This life wasn't  yours!" you yelled hitting him with the back of your blade ' I need answers from him. Then I kill him.' you thought " I can make it mine if that's  what I wish! This world was bestowed to us to do as we please after paying the price! I PAID! I FUCKING PAID!" he yelled peeling off walls and floors sending his puppets your way.

You cut threw them but he kept sending more and more , Katakuri had taken his sister's and Izo away so you were  able to move around freely, using your Haki you forced the man to his knees the puppets dropping to the ground. Grabbing him from his collar you placed the hilt of your sword to his head " I need some answers. What is that price/sacrifice you're  all talking about? How many like us are there? Why am I forgetting about home?" you asked but the man didn't  answer only let out a dry chuckle " THE HE'LL IS SO FUNNY?! SPILL!" you spat shaking him. He stopped chuckling and looked at you straight in the eye " I ain't  telling ya  shit. " he spat and you shoot his leg just a few centimetres  away from where you had shot him before, he screamed throwing his head back " Ah so scary. I wonder if you were like that before your freedom. The sacrifice is the only thing that is keeping  attached to your cage. Here we're  a new being above all others, a holly being.  If you miss your home so much you can just replicate it here! No-one has the right to stop you." he said and your frown deepened " Is that what you were trying to do?" you asked and he glared at you  " Shut it." he spat " You couldn't  handle that your  old  life was gone so you decided to mimic it by dragging down people that shared similar characteristics  to the people you left behind." You said staring at him straight into his eyes " Shut up!" he yelled " Holly being my ass." You spat throwing him back " You're  more like a spoiled brat." You said " SHUT THE HE'LL UP!" he screamed.

Something passed next to you and you saw Katakuri's  triden pircing Kenny's chest, the weapon was stabbing threw a puppet that was standing behind you, ready to attack, to Kenny's  chest. The enemy coughed out blood before Katakuri  pulled back his weapon letting him drop to the ground " You let your guard down." he scolded you with narrowed crimson eyes " Eh...I- thanks." You said giving the corpse a glance. Katakuri kept looking at you " Your crewmate has been treated and returned to your boat." he said and you nodded " Thank you for taking care of him. I'll  give you the treas-" " Don't  want it." he said and you blinked in surprise " What?!Why not?!" you asked but he didn't  respond, instead he grabbed you and tossed you over his shoulder " You should be treated as well." he said as you tried to find a way to sit less ridiculously  " I'm  fine I think you sucked all the poison out." you said as you kept trashing around " It wasn't  a question." he replied.

Poire wouldn't  let you go " Ahhh come on it's  too soon!" she whined as her sister tried to make her let you go " Wish I could talk to you more but I have to go. You were pretty cool out there though." you said offering your fist, she bummed it with her own " Same to you." she said with a giggle " We'll you weren't  half bad." mumbled Gallete waiting for a fist bump but looking the other way, you chuckled and thanked her. Giving a glance to Katakuri you offered him your fist " Thanks for having my back." you said and the man gave you a soft fist bump leaving his two sisters and the crew shocked " Chance I get to see that handsome face before I leave?" you asked " No." he said and you frowned, opening your mouth he cut you off " Maybe....next time we are alone.And I'll  tell you then." he said and you smiled " That Haki future reading thing you're  doing is so cool." You said eyes sparkling. The older man avoided your gaze and handed you a small piece of paper " That's  my Vive card. Don't  lose it. Now go." he said pushing you softly towards the stairs. Once you were gone he turned around to give orders for departure only to find everyone staring at him " We're  leaving. Get moving." he said giving one last glance to where you had run off.

The ride on the boat was rather awkward other than the typical small talk the days of the trip were silent , you were thinking over what Kenny had said and Izo was beating himself up for not being able to stand up on the occasion ' First I let her get attacked by Donflamingo and saved by Marco and now this....Have I become rusty?' he thought looking at you " I CAN SEE THE ISLAND!" yelled Rosetta and you got up from the spot that you were sitting. People had already gathered at the port but one stood out " Crap..." you mumbled and Izo gave you a look " Oyaji is up waiting at the port." you said fearing for the upcoming scolding, Izo clenched his eyes shut sharing your worries.

As Rosetta run with tears of happiness to her husband you stood in front of Whitebeard with your heads down " Oya-" " What were you thinking exactly when you run off like that? Do you know the trouble that you could have caused? And on top of everything  you come back injured."  asked the captain and you gulped " It was my fault." said Izo and you gave him a shocked look still not raising your head " Even thought I caught her instead of bringing her back I went with her and even then I failed to protect her." he said and you stood up straight " Actually it's  my fault! Even after I got warned I still sneaked out and did my own thing! I also persuaded Izo to tag along! So I will take full responsibility!" you said and Whitebeard let out a displeased  sound ' He looks annoyed.' you all thought " So you admit it was your fault?" he asked and you nodded feeling sweat building up " Yea." You mumbled " So you won't  have a problem taking any punishment." he said and you nodded again.

" YOU FOOLISH CHILDREN!" he yelled smacking both of your heads " RUNNING OFF LIKE THAT AND NOT CONTACTING US YOU HAD US ALL WORRIED!" he yelled and let out a huff " Aaahhh having a daughter is header  than having sons. " he said and you let out a small apology " BEFORE I FORGET!" you yelled gaining their attention " I brought treasure." you said with a smirk " Weren't  the Big Mom pirates supposed to take it?" asked Izo " Katakuri said he didn't  want it." you said as everyone stared with widen eyes " THE BIG MOM PIRATES!?" they yelled and the two of you explained everything " I don't  know why you're acting like that. We were a pretty good team he even gave me his....blank moving piece of paper." you said titling your head to the side and showing them the Vive  card. Whitebeard let out another sound ' He looks annoyed.' you all thought " I do not approve." he said ' Neither do we.' thought your crewmates as Thatch and Boma  looked threw the treasure chest.
