"Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never, ever, ever be the same."
- Excerpt from Never Be the Same by Camilla Cabello
"I don't want you to go," Dariya pouts, pulling me into a tight hug. Does she get attached to people this easily?
Even though I did want to leave almost instantly, I almost regretted my decision once I woke up. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I had such a good-night's rest and I slept all the way till 12pm. Once I leave here, that's not going to be ever happening again.
However, I forced myself to get out of bed and regain my freedom. To be polite, I ate breakfast but only a bowl of cereal before saying that I wanted to leave now.
"Okay, let's go," Lorenzo tells me and I follow him into the garage to see four different cars.
Each and every car is wonderful. We manuevar around the cars until we reach the last one which is a nice, I mean very fucking nice, car.
"Come inside," he tells me and I listen, slipping inside the passenger's side.
Soon, we are on our way to my apartment. At first, I wonder how in the world he knows where I live but then realize that it's a ridiculous question. Of course, he knows where I live, that man is obsessed with me. He knows everything, most likely, about me.
We arrived at the apartment, it wasn't that close but closer than I had expected. It takes around an hour to get to my apartment complex.
I'm scared that something bad happened. For example, the landlord gave my apartment away or... there's so much stuff that I had missed and it terrifies me.
"Thank you," I tell him, smiling. I get out of the car and make my way to the door leading inside.
I hear a car door shut and I turn around to see Lorenzo following me. I'm confused. Why is he following me?
He follows me when I go inside and I find my landlord who is sitting on the frontdesk, writing.
"Hello," I mumble. He looks up and his face instantly turns into a scowl.
"Wow. Finally you show your face after two months. Whatever happened you brought in four men who were banging down your door and ransacked your apartment. God!" he tells me.
He stands up and stares at me but looks up and swallows hard, fear in his face. I look to where he's staring at and notice Lorenzo giving him the death glare.
So, Lorenzo is a terrifying man. Jesus Christ.
"I want the triple rent for next month," he grumbles and I nod, "Plus, here's your new key."
I have no idea where the fuck I'm supposed to get the money when it's already a struggle to get one month's rent, now three month's rent?
I'll have to make it work.
Plus, my debt collectors came. They were probably there and since they couldn't find me, they went to look for money in my apartment which I don't fucking have since someone broke in.
Why are dangerous people obsessed with me?
The most dangerous of them all is standing right behind me.
I continue walking up to my apartment and he's still following me. What is his plan?
I reach my apartment door and I turn to him. I swallow as I face the man who is just blatantly staring at me.
