BRIELLE WILLIAMS
I hear shuffling that wouldn't stop after a while.
Who the hell is disturbing my damn sleep?
I gently sit up, opening my eyes and I see Hannah laying an outfit down on the bed for me. I rub my eyes again making sure I'm seeing it correctly.
Which I am.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Hannah says and I stretch, warming my body up for the rest of the day.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"We're going somewhere," she replies. My lips immediately twitch in a smile.
I'm now really excited.
I get up and go into the bathroom, brushing my teeth and washing my face.
Afterwards, I put on the outfit Anna laid out for me. It's a white ribbed shirt, tight dark shorts with a black belt because it's a bit big on the waist and white vans.
"Put your hair up," Anna advises and I listen to her, putting my hair up in a ponytail but to make the hairstyle a bit cute, I leave out two strands.
I see Natalie casually on the couch. Anna told me we would stop for some breakfast on the way. While walking downstairs, Enzo walks out of the kitchen. Upon seeing me, he pulls his card out of his wallet.
"Here," he says and I take his card, "Do whatever makes you happy. Okay?"
I nod, a bright smile showing on my lips. This is probably why Anna stepped foot back in this house. He probably put her up to this but I don't care. A nice day to hang out with my best friend.
By reflex, I throw myself on Enzo, wrapping my arms around him in a hug and then I see Natalie glaring daggers at me.
Welp.
I instantly back up. I really don't want to cause an issue right now.
"Well, bye," I say and I walk out of the door. Before I close it, I hear Natalie say something in Russian and Lorenzo looks pissed.
I close the door before I get dragged into it.
Not like I would understand what they were saying in the first place.
"They sound very in love," Hannah retorts and I laugh with her as we walk to her car.
I finish the last bite of my breakfast sandwich. I lick my hands clean before finishing the job with a napkin.
"So, where are we going?" I ask. We've been on the road for around 30 minutes, ignoring our stop at a cafe for some food.
"It doesn't matter."
I roll my eyes. I hear those words too many times for me to count.
"At least a hint."
"Nope," she says, popping the 'p', "All I'm going to say is that you're going to have a lot of fun and you should enjoy the day."
"I'm trying," I say, "I would feel much better if you told me where we're going."
Anna glances at me and gives me that, "Come on" look and then looks back on the road.
"Brielle, just don't think about Lorenzo nor Natasha or what's happening at all. Only focus on the present."
I chuckle because she got Natalie's name wrong and by her face she doesn't seem to look like she's joking. She probably genuinely thought that was her name.
