Stefan: It had been a long day. You and Stefan both returned home to slump on the couch together, letting out a short laugh at your obvious exhaustion.
You turned on the T.V and sat together watching whatever was on, late night television. Mainly infomercials, promoting useless products. You honestly hadn't been paying much attention to it. Your eyes began to flicker as you slowly drifted off, curled up to Stefan's side.
He looked down after a minute to find you asleep, head resting on the side of his shoulder, legs curled up under you. A smile overtook his face as he gazed at you, brushing a strand of hair out of your face to get a better look at your beauty.
He chuckled a little before slowly stand up, as not to wake you. He effortlessly lifted your tired figure into his arms, you stirred a little before settling back into his chest. He carefully headed for bed, gently laying down and crawling in next to you, where he held you just as close as he fell asleep.
Damon: Insomnia was a bitch. You had spent most of your precious hours that could, and should have been used for your well-needed beauty sleep, on thinking. As soon as your head hit the pillow, thoughts and memories rushed back to mind, keeping you awake until the early morning.
You laid down in your bed, a deep sigh escaping your lips as you foretold how the next few hours would play out. You lay there, on your back, staring at the ceiling, just thinking. Over-thinking everything. The cause for your insomnia was really, very simple It was loneliness.
After about an hour of tossing and turning, trying desperately to gain at least a wink of sleep, you heard the floorboards creak from across the room. You sat up quickly, in defense mode, only to be met with Damon.
"Damon," You breathed, your fearful glance turning into a smile, "You scared the hell out of me." You said, your hand raising to your heart dramatically.
"Sorry, wanted to see you, but I didn't want to wake you up by knocking." He smiled, "Kinda' just planned on climbing into bed with you." He shrugged tiredly.
"Wouldn't have woken me up anyway." You smiled uneasily, sitting up.
"Haven't slept?" He asked, moving toward the edge of the bed.
"Can't." You replied casually, with a shrug of your shoulders.
"Here." He said, moving the covers and climbing into the bed.
"Lie down." He offered with his arms outstretched. You accepted with a smile and laid back down, resting your head on his chest, your hand settled on his torso, clutching the fabric of his shirt. He gave you a hug, pressing a kiss to your cheek before moving his arms up to rest behind his head. You glanced up at him, and he looked down, grinning.
"Sleep. At least try." He said, grin changing to form a sad smile. You nodded and nuzzled your head back down into his shirt, soon falling asleep to the sound of his soft heart beat.
Klaus: You had been under a lot of stress lately. And boy, does Nik know it. He has watched you run around for the past two weeks, cramming in as much work as possible for your finals. You had just finished your last practice essay, but even though now you knew you had absolutely nothing to worry about, you were extremely on edge. Nik had been lying on the couch, having a 'lazy day' which was quite rare for the original.
"y/n, come lie down love. You'r going to give yourself a headache." He smirked, as you paced the living room, feeling unsure of yourself.
"I just feel like there is something else I could do to prepare. What if I fail?" You asked nobody in particular. As you made your way past the couch, Nik reached out and wrapped an arm securely around your waist, pulling you down onto the soft pillows.
"Nik!" You said playfully, surprised by his actions.
"You need to relax a bit. Just lie with me." He smiled, lying back down next to you on the couch. It being so small, you had to squeeze incredibly close to him. He wrapped his arms around your stomach, pulling your back tightly into his chest, nuzzling his face into your neck. You smiled at the gesture, turning in his arms to look up at his face.
"Thank you Nik." You said, smiling groggily, suddenly feeling incredibly at peace in his arms. Nik watched as your breathing slowed, steadying as you drifted off in his safe hold. Smiling to himself, about how lucky he was to have someone like you.
Elijah: You had felt like death the entire week. Your head spinning to the point were you didn't want to risk walking or standing, for fear of collapsing. Your body felt extremely weak, a complete lack of food for the past two day's may have been a contributor to that, but it caused you too much pain to eat, the pounding in your head distracted you from the hunger anyway.
Your bed was your safe haven. It was warm, completely cozy, and you didn't have to move. You could just lie there all day.
The ache in your head had stopped sleep from being an option the last couple of hours. You laid in the fetal position, cradling your head, but to no use.
Elijah's voice pulled you up from the blankets,
"y/n, my dear, are you okay?" He asked, his eyebrows etched into a worried frown as he hurried over to your side.
"I'm dying." You stated dramatically, voice deep and raspy from both coughing, and a lack of use.
"Oh, my darling." He stated sadly, pulling his hand up to your face, cradling it gently. "Try and get some sleep." He suggested, fixing the blanket over you.
"I can't," You began, closing your eyes in pain, "My head hurts too much."
Suddenly, the bed began to dip on the other side as Elijah laid down, ever so slowly, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you virtually on top of him, your head resting in the crook of his neck. You smiled at his kindness, your smile falling as your chest jerked, holding in a cough.
"I hate seeing you like this. In so much pain." Elijah stated sadly, pulling you in closer.
"It's fine, really. Perks of being human." You joked halfheartedly. He smiled at your way of finding humour in every situation, making even the darkest of times shed some amount of light.
"I love you L'ijah." You breathed out into his neck before falling asleep in his arms.
"I love you too." He replied, after you had already drifted off, placing a kiss atop of your head.
