-Straight up, no one has ever shown you more respect than Elijah.

-Chivalrous is his middle name.

-He always pulls your chair out for you, and holds the door.

-And he'll give you his coat on a cold night without a second thought.

-Kissing the back of your hand.

-Him telling you he loves you with more sincerity in his eyes than you could ever explain.

-"I've spent well over a thousand years on this planet, dear. And you are without a doubt, the highlight."

-Getting along really well with his siblings.

-And always being the one to resolve their little spats.

-Him teaching you how to fight and protect yourself.

-He still desperately tries to shelter you from the danger that comes along with life in world of the supernatural.

-Him getting flustered when he sees you all dressed up for the Mikaelson ball.

-He's really proud of you, and never lets you forget it.

-Loving being able to see him wear clothing other than his suits.

-Having inside jokes that take nothing more than a glance toward one another to make you have to stifle a laugh.

-And his siblings getting frustrated that they don't have in on what you're smiling about.

-Especially Kol.

-Knowing that he'll never break his promises to you.

-"I give you my word, Y/N."

-He's not particularly emotional in front of others.

-But whenever you're hurt or in pain, it kills him.

-He's even shed a few tears whenever his family's enemies have caused you harm or threatened your life.

-Him playing with your hair as you fall asleep.

-Telling you stories about the past.

-Venturing through museums and art galleries together.

-He can get pretty jealous.

-But doesn't often show it.

-Because he trusts you completely, and knows you would never taint your loyalty.

-And the same goes for him.

-But despite all the good, you've seen each other at their worst.
